Bologna vs Parma Predictions

Parma have struggled in front of goal lately, but they should test a porous Bologna defence this weekend. BTTS is my preferred pick at the Renato Dall'Ara Stadium.

Bologna and Parma have faced each other nine times since 2019. Bologna won four games, including a 2-1 Coppa Italia victory in December. Parma secured one victory.

Bologna Slump Continues

Bologna come into Sunday's Serie A clash after a damaging 3-0 home defeat to AC Milan earlier this week. Three goals conceded inside 48 minutes ensured a miserable night for the Rossoblu, heaping further pressure on their under-fire head coach, Vincenzo Italiano.

Recent reports suggest the 48-year-old could be replaced by former boss Thiago Motta if the hosts slip up again this weekend.

Italiano's side have struggled badly in recent weeks, losing six of their last 11 matches, with just two wins recorded in that run. Defensive issues have been a growing concern, with Bologna conceding 12 goals in their last six fixtures.

Home form has also dipped, with the Rossoblu failing to win any of their previous six Serie A matches at the Renato Dall'Ara. Italiano's men have scored 20 goals but conceded an average of 1.4 per game across 12 home league fixtures this season.

Parma Punished Against Juventus

Parma make the trip to the Renato Dall'Ara after a disappointing 4-1 home reversal against Juventus last week. A dominant display from the in-form Old Lady ensured back-to-back defeats for Carlos Cuesta's men.

I Crociati also conceded four goals in their most recent road trip at Atalanta (4-0). Cuesta's side have dropped down to 16th in Serie A, but are still six points clear of the relegation zone.

Before recent disappointments against Juventus and Atalanta, Parma had lost just one of six previous Serie A fixtures.

“My analysis is that we were very confident. We approached it well, but we don’t seem to be able to put in two consecutive top-level performances,” he told DAZN IT.

“Unfortunately, we're conceding goals at the slightest mistake. We're paying for every blunder. We were light at the back, and they hurt us.”
