Brighton and Nottingham Forest face off in the Premier League, both struggling to find consistent form. Given their history of drawing games, predictions are favoring another stalemate in their upcoming match on Sunday. Betting odds suggest a general draw at 3.65, while a more specific 1-1 draw is seen as a possibility with odds of 7.5. The key takeaway is that betting on a draw might be a wise choice as both teams attempt to find their footing this season.

Nottingham Forest have a 19-14 advantage against Brighton, alongside 12 draws.

Brighton Draw a Lot at the Amex

Brighton have dropped into the Premier League’s bottom half after failing to win in 12 of their last 14 matches. Fabian Hurzeler’s team have drawn six games during that run.

The south coast outfit are winless in three consecutive matches at the Amex. They drew 1-1 with Bournemouth and Everton before losing 1-0 against Crystal Palace.

The Seagulls followed that run with back-to-back defeats at Aston Villa 1-0 and Liverpool 3-0.

Hurzeler’s side replied with a 2-0 victory at Brentford. Brighton had 1.09-1.6 XG and Diego Gomez and Danny Welbeck scored before half time.

Nottingham Forest Are Out of EPL Form

Nottingham Forest are just two points above the Premier League’s relegation zone. The Midlands outfit are winless in six of their previous seven domestic fixtures, drawing four.

Forest drew 1-1 with Crystal Palace, lost 3-1 at Leeds and drew 0-0 against Wolves before Sean Dyche was sacked. Vitor Pereira was appointed as the Reds’ new boss and started his tenure with a 3-0 victory at Fenerbahce.

The Tricky Trees were unfortunate to lose 1-0 at home against Liverpool on Sunday. Forest had 18 shots, 1.19 XG and conceded in the 97th minute.

Another narrow defeat followed in the Europa League as Forest lost 2-1 at home against Fenerbahce. Pereira’s side conceded twice in the opening 48 minutes and Callum Hudson-Odoi struck a late consolation.

Predicted Starting Lineups & Team News

Brighton (4-3-3): Bart Verbruggen; Joel Veltman, Jan Paul van Hecke, Lewis Dunk, Ferdi Kadioglu; Jack Hinshelwood, Carlos Baleba, Pascal Gross; Diego Gomez, Danny Welbeck, Karou Mitoma

Striker Stefanos Tzimas and defender Adam Webster are ruled out due to long-term knee injuries.

Midfielders Solly March and Yasin Ayari could be in contention for the Forest game. Fabian Hurzeler was positive over Ayari’s pre-match fitness and said, “Yasin is a quick healer. He has been doing non-contact work, but today he gets back into full-contact training with his teammates.

“If he handles the physical challenges well he will absolutely be an option for the weekend.”

Nottingham Forest (4-2-3-1): Stefan Ortega; Ola Aina, Nikola Milenkovic, Murillo, Neco Williams; Ibrahim Sangare, Elliot Anderson; Omari Hutchinson, Morgan Gibbs-White, Callum Hudson-Odoi; Igor Jesus

Goalkeeper John Victor and defenders Nicola Savona and Wily Boly are injured. Striker Chris Wood remains sidelined due to a knee problem.

Matz Sels is also ruled out with a groin injury. Vitor Pereira explained that the goalkeeper would return to the squad after the Brighton game and said, “Matz Sels will come back Monday with the team.”

Verdict

Brighton and Nottingham Forest have struggled for form in the Premier League. Both teams draw plenty and it’s worth sticking with another stalemate on Sunday.
