Crystal Palace is facing a challenging period in the Premier League with a significant dip in performance. Recent matches have seen them struggle, and it is hard to predict their next win. Conversely, Wolves have been commendable, showing resilience in recent games. This sets the stage for both teams to potentially end in a draw in their upcoming clash. Betting forecasts suggest a 1-1 scoreline for the Eagles against the plucky Wolves, underscoring the Eagles' current plight and Wolves' steadfast form.

Crystal Palace vs Wolves Preview

Crystal Palace have shown few signs of turning around their long-term slump under Oliver Glasner. Wolves have started picking up points through Premier League draws and a Selhurst Park stalemate is the best bet.

Back-to-Back Wolves Draws

  • Crystal Palace have drawn 3 of their last 6 home games.
  • Crystal Palace are unbeaten in 7 consecutive home matches against Wolves.
  • Wolves have drawn their last 2 EPL games.

Glasner Under Pressure at Crystal Palace

Crystal Palace were fourth in the Premier League in early December before falling to 13th in the standings

The pressure has increased on Oliver Glasner as the Eagles have taken just six points from their last 11 games. Palace have also struggled at home, with no wins and five defeats in their previous nine in all competitions.

The South Londoners had another disappointing result on Thursday following a 1-1 draw at Zrinjski Mostar. Palace were outplayed, allowing 1.24 XG, and Ismaila Sarr’s first-half strike was cancelled out by Mostar’s 55th-minute leveller.

Wolves Showing Some EPL Fight

Rob Edwards’ Wolves are 17 points from safety at the bottom of the Premier League table. The Old Gold have just one league victory in the 2025/26 campaign.

Wanderers have shown signs of improvement lately after going unbeaten in eight of their last 11 in all competitions. Wolves are unbeaten in three consecutive games, starting with a 0-0 draw at Nottingham Forest and a 1-0 win at Grimsby.

The Midlands outfit came back from two goals down to hold league leaders Arsenal on Wednesday. Edwards’ side trailed 2-0 after 55 minutes before Hugo Bueno and an own goal completed the comeback.

Predicted Starting Lineups & Team News

Crystal Palace (3-4-2-1): Dean Henderson; Jaydee Canvot, Chris Richards, Tyrick Mitchell; Daniel Munoz, Adam Wharton, Daichi Kamada, Borna Sosa; Ismaila Sarr, Evann Guessand; Jorgen-Strand Larsen

Midfield duo Jefferson Lerma and Cheick Doucoure are injured. Striker Jean-Philippe Mateta is out with a knee injury and forward Eddie Nketiah has a hamstring issue.

Defensive duo Maxence Lacroix and Chadi Riad came off injured against Zrinjski Mostar. Oliver Glasner was doubtful over Lacroix’s availability for Wolves and said, “(The injury is) how it looked like yesterday, yes, but again, we will assess him further with training in the afternoon, so after the press conference, and then we will see.

“He had to be subbed because he had problems with his adductor, and he mentioned it at half-time already, so it doesn't look really good.”

Wolves (3-4-2-1): Jose Sa; Yerson Mosquera, Santiago Bueno, Ladislav Krejci; Jackson Tchatchoua, Joao Gomes, Andre, Hugo Bueno; Jean-Ricner Bellegarde, Mateus Mane; Adam Armstrong

Striker Hee-Chan Hwang is unavailable with a calf injury.

Verdict

It’s hard to see where Crystal Palace will get their next win from after a huge downturn in form. Wolves have been plucky in recent games and can hold the out-of-form Eagles in the Premier League.
