Fulham and Crystal Palace have both faced challenges adapting to new management this season, suffering recent defeats as a result. With both teams eager to tighten up defensively, a draw appears to be the most likely outcome when they meet. The article suggests betting on a draw at odds of 3.5 and also considers a 1-1 draw as a value option at odds of 7.5, recommending modest stakes for both bets.

Fulham vs Crystal Palace Preview

Fulham are in poor long-term Premier League form and Crystal Palace are struggling early in the 2026/27 season. The Cottagers and Palace are lacking confidence and a cagey draw is likely at Craven Cottage.

Key Stats - Eagles Out of Form

  • Fulham are winless in 6 of their last 7 games.
  • Fulham are winless in their last 7 home matches against Cyrstal Palace.
  • Crystal Palace are winless in 9 consecutive Premier League games.

H2H - Lots of Draw

Fulham have a 19-17 advantage against Crystal Palace, alongside 20 draws.

Fulham Struggling for EPL Consistency

Fulham’s long-term Premier League form is unconvincing. The west Londoners have won just two of their previous nine, losing five.

Alvaro Arbeloa has struggled to improve Fulham’s consistency. They are winless in six of their last nine games in all competitions.

The Cottagers started the new Premier League season with back-to-back defeats. Fulham lost 3-2 at home in their opener against Chelsea.

Arbeloa’s side also lost 1-0 at Sunderland on Sunday. Fulham were outplayed, had no shots on target, allowed 2.02 XG and conceded in the 75th minute.

Sage’s Crystal Palace on the Downturn

Crystal Palace are unconvincing in the Premier League and haven’t won an away league game since March.

The Eagles are on a three-match losing streak in all competitions, starting with a 3-0 defeat at Freiburg. Palace then lost 2-0 at Everton in the Premier League, facing 16 shots.

The south Londoners' losing run continued after a heavy 4-1 home loss to Man City. Palace had 0.66 XG and Yeremy Pino scored a second-half consolation goal.

Predicted Starting Lineups & Team News

Fulham (4-2-3-1): Bernd Leno; Timothy Castagne, Joachim Andersen, Calvin Bassey, Antonee Robinson; Sander Berge, Alex Iwobi; Oscar Bobb, Josh King, Cesar Palacios; Gonzalo Garcia

Midfielder Tom Cairney is sidelined with a knee injury.

David Affengruber joined Fulham from Elche on Tuesday and is available. Speaking after his transfer, the centre-back said:

“You don’t often get an opportunity like this. Now, I’m just happy to be here, and very motivated to get started.”

Crystal Palace (3-4-2-1): Dean Henderson; Jaydee Canvot, Chris Richards, Takehiro Tomiyasu; Anan Khalaili, Adam Wharton, Daichi Kamada, Tyrick Mitchell; Yeremy Pino, Eddie Nketiah; Jorgen Strand Larsen

Striker Jean-Philippe Mateta is unavailable with a hamstring injury. Defender Chadi Riad is also unavailable due to a knee problem.

Ismaila Sarr is ruled out through injury. Pierre Sage explained the winger “needs time to recover” from a hamstring issue.

Verdict

Fulham and Palace have struggled to adapt under their new managers this season. Both sides will want to tighten up after recent defeats and a Premier League draw is the best bet.
