England and Ghana drew 1-1 in the only previous meeting.

England Pack an Attacking Punch

England are in strong long-term form and have won nine of their previous 11 games in all competitions. The Three Lions have scored 27 goals in that period.

Thomas Tuchel’s side are on a three-match winning streak, including friendly wins over New Zealand 1-0 and Costa Rica 3-0. Harry Kane scored his 69th goal of the season for club and country in the New Zealand victory.

The European outfit continued their winning run with a 4-2 Group L win against Croatia. Harry Kane scored two first-half goals and Jude Bellingham and Marcus Rashford also got on the scoresheet.

Ghana Concede a Lot of Goals

Carlos Queiroz’s Ghana are struggling for form and are winless in six of their last seven games. The Black Stars lost five matches in a row and conceded 11 goals, leading to Otto Addo’s dismissal.

Queiroz was named as new Ghana manager ahead of the 2026 World Cup. He led the African side to a 1-1 draw against Wales in a warm-up friendly.

Ghana followed that stalemate with a 1-0 win against Panama. They faced four shots on target, had 1.31 XG and Caleb Yirenkyi scored a 95th-minute winner.

Predicted Starting Lineups & Team News

England (4-2-3-1): Jordan Pickford; Reece James, Ezri Konsa, John Stones, Nico O'Reilly; Elliot Anderson, Declan Rice; Noni Madueke, Jude Bellingham, Marcus Rashford; Harry Kane

Declan Rice limped off during the victory over Croatia. The midfielder provided a positive update on his condition post-match and said, “All good, good as gold.

“Just what I’ve been nursing, probably, in the second half of the season at Arsenal, little neural pains here and there.”

Ghana (4-3-3): Lawrence Ati Zigi; Marvin Senaya, Jonas Adjetey, Jerome Opoku, Gideon Mensah; Caleb Yirenkyi, Elisha Owusu, Kamaldeen Sulemana; Ernest Nuamah, Jordan Ayew, Antoine Semenyo

Thomas Partey is available to feature against England after his Canadian visa was rejected. The midfielder is eligible to play in US-based matches.

Verdict

England v Ghana

Harry Kane is one of the world’s best strikers and knows how to find the net at major tournaments. The England captain is tipped to score in a Three Lions World Cup win over out-of-form Ghana.
