Ilves Tampere Form


Ilves won their final three games in the regular season to finish second on the Veikkausliiga table, one point behind Inter Turku. 

Joonas Rantanen’s side started the Championship Group with a fortunate 4-2 win at KuPS where they had 0.74-1.15 expected goals. They then beat Gnistan 3-2 despite having 1.34-2.06 xG.

The Tampere club drew 2-2 at HJK and are coming off a 2-1 defeat at SJK. Tatu Miettunen equalised late on in Seinajoki before conceding in the 89th minute, ending the contest with 2.03-0.49 xG.

KuPS Form


KuPS recently lost 1-0 against HJK in the Suomen Cup final. They bounced back to win three straight in the Championship Group, scoring 10 goals with two conceded.

Piotr Parzyszek scored in added time to secure a 3-2 victory over SJK and scored another two goals off the bench in a 4-0 win at Gnistan.

Jarkko Wiss’ side returned to the Veikkausliiga with a 1-1 draw against Drita, Parzyszek on target again in a deserved result.

KuPS are coming off a confidence building 3-0 win at Inter Turku. They had 2.29-0.95 xG, Parzyszek and Mohamed Toure on target before Agon Sadiku wrapped it up late on.
