The Netherlands are poised to assert their dominance in the upcoming World Cup qualifying match against Poland. Historically, the Dutch team has an impressive track record against Poland, having won the last five home games against them. In their most recent encounter in September, Poland struggled with possession, which gives the Dutch side a strategic advantage. The Netherlands' consistent performance in this qualifying group marks them as the favorites for victory on Friday. Their robust form and historical successes suggest a promising outcome.

Poland Form
Poland are almost certain to secure second place in Group G and advance to World Cup qualifying playoffs, winning four out of six games so far.
They were lucky to snatch a point in their first match against Netherlands 1-1 in early September, which was also Jan Urban’s debut as the new head coach, ending that match with 0.30-1.24 xG, just 26% possession and 6-14 shots.
The Poles did much better in terms of control in next two games, beating Finland 3-1 at home and most recently Lithuania 2-0 on the road, Robert Lewandowski scoring on both occasions.
Netherlands Form
Netherlands are just one point away from earning a spot at the World Cup 2026, dominating Group G so far with five victories, one draw and a 22-3 goal difference.
The only slip up was against Poland at home 1-1 where they had full control and missed plenty of goal chances, Denzel Dumfries being their top scorer.
Ronald Koeman’s side responded with three straight victories after that, beating Lithuania 3-2, Malta 4-0 and Finland 4-0, allowing just 1.34 xG total in these three encounters.
Memphis Depay has been their standout performer in the qualifiers, registering seven goals and four assists.
