Udinese vs Roma Live Stream & Tips - Double Chance Tipped in Serie A

In the upcoming Serie A match, Udinese could leverage their recent form to challenge Roma, who have shown inconsistency on the road. While Roma has historically dominated head-to-head encounters, current circumstances suggest a potential shift. Roma, after a strenuous Europa League draw, may be at a disadvantage visiting Udine. Udinese recently impressed with a solid win over Verona and look to maintain momentum at home. Both teams face player absences that could influence Monday's result, suggesting a home win or a draw as promising outcomes.

Udinese vs Roma Predictions

Udinese have a poor recent record in this fixture, but could capitalise on a potentially fatigued Roma side. A home win or draw is my best bet for Monday's Serie A match.

Roma Stumble on the Road

  • Udinese are unbeaten in 3 of their last 4 home matches
  • Roma lost 3 of their last 5 away matches (Serie A)

Roma Dominant in Recent Udinese H2H

Udinese and Roma have met on 12 occasions since 2020. Roma won nine of those matches, while Udinese secured only two victories.

Udinese Impress at Verona

Udinese return to Bluenergy Stadium after an excellent 3-1 win against Verona last weekend. Keinan Davis's seventh goal of the season secured a vital road victory for Kosta Runjaic's side.

Le Zebrette have enjoyed a decent run of form in 2026, with seven points picked up from their last four Serie A games. Udinese's only defeat in that period was a narrow 1-0 home defeat against table-toppers Inter.

Before that narrow reversal, Runjaic's side picked up a point or more in three previous home Serie A fixtures. Le Zebrette now sit tenth in the division, only one point behind eighth-placed Bologna.

Rome Secure Europa League Progress

Roma make the trip to Udine after a hard-fought draw against Panathinaikos in their final Europa League league-phase match on Thursday.

Gianluca Mancini was sent off after 15 minutes, but Jan Ziolkowski's late goal rescued a point after Roma had fallen behind in the second half. Thursday's draw secured an eighth-place finish and automatic qualification for the round of 16.

Gian Piero Gasperini's side have suffered a dip in performance levels over the past couple of months. Roma lost five while failing to win seven of 15 previous fixtures.

Since the start of December, the Romans have suffered defeats in three away games at Cagliari (1-0), Juventus (2-1) and Atalanta (1-0). Despite recent inconsistencies, I Giallorossi remain third in Serie A, but now nine points behind league leaders Inger.

Predicted Lineups and Team News

Udinese (3-4-2-1) Maduka Okoye; Nicolo Bertola, Thomas Kristensen, Oumar Solet; Kingsley Ehizibue, Lennon Miller, Jesper Karlstrom, Jordan Zemura; Arthur Atta, Jurgen Ekkelenkamp; Keinan Davis.

Kosta Runjaic has a handful of absentees for Monday's Serie A encounter. Jakub Piotrowski, Nicolo Zaniolo, Hassane Kamara, Adam Buksa and Rui Modesto are all ruled out.

Roma (3-4-2-1) Mile Svilar; Gianluca Mancini, Evan Ndicka, Mario Hermoso; Zeki Celik, Bryan Cristante, Neil El Aynaoui, Wesley; Matias Soule, Lorenzo Pellegrini; Donyell Malen.

Head coach Gasperini has five selection issues to deal with this week. Artem Dovbyk, and Manu Kone are ruled out, while Devyne Rensch, Stephan El Shaarawy and Evan Ferguson face late fitness tests.

The Italian boss spoke out in praise of his squad after the midweek draw in Greece.

"You can criticise Roma for many things, but not the character shown by all these players," Gasperini told Sky Sport Italia.

"Incidents are decisive in football, and we were unlucky on the opening goal with a header backwards, so the best chance we had of equalising was, I assumed, a set play.”

Verdict

Udinese have enjoyed some decent form in recent weeks, and they could pick up a positive result on Monday. A home win or draw looks like the best value pick at Bluenergy Stadium.
