Anaheim Ducks vs Winnipeg Jets Expert Picks


Kyle Connor will keep on firing on goal as the Winnipeg Jets are picked to stay perfect against the Anaheim Ducks.

The Anaheim Ducks visit the Winnipeg Jets at Canada Life Centre at 8 p.m. ET. Winnipeg are 3-0-1 and haven't lost in regulation, while Anaheim come in off a 5-2 home loss to Edmonton on Wednesday.

I'm backing Winnipeg because they keep finding ways to win close games. The Jets have won three straight by one goal, Stuart Skinner has a .920 save percentage while filling in for the suspended Connor Hellebuyck, and their power play is converting at 40%.

I'm also taking Connor to put 4+ shots on goal. He has 24 shots in four games, at least four in every one of them, and he's playing almost 21 minutes a night.

Winnipeg opened with a 4-3 overtime loss to Boston, then won 3-2 in Detroit, 3-2 in Pittsburgh and 3-2 at home to Colorado on Wednesday. Skinner has a .920 save percentage in three starts, including 32 saves against the Avalanche, though the Jets have been outshot 131-114.

Connor leads the team with five goals, including two against Colorado, and Cole Perfetti has 6 points with a point in every game. Mark Scheifele picked up two assists on Wednesday.

Hellebuyck is serving a suspension and Josh Morrissey is day-to-day with an upper-body injury, 
according to CBS Sports' injury report heading into Friday.

Ducks Form


Anaheim won 4-3 in Vegas and 3-2 in overtime against Florida before Wednesday's 5-2 loss to Edmonton. Lukas Dostal stopped 12 of 17 shots against the Oilers before Ville Husso came on in relief.

Carlsson has a goal and six assists, Beckett Sennecke has three goals, and Cutter Gauthier has 16 shots, including seven against Edmonton. The power play is converting at 38.5%.

Troy Terry (hip) and Drew Helleson (lower body) are both on injured reserve, according to CBS Sport, ahead of the trip to Winnipeg.
