Best NHL Props Oct 8: Player Props for the NHL Tonight


Nick Schmaltz  and Sebastian Aho are picked to find the net and Jack Eichel to get his standard 2+ points are our three best NHL player props for Thursday night.

There are 10 games on the board tonight, and three of the league's hottest forwards are in spots that suit them. All three picks pair strong early production with a matchup we like.

Nick Schmaltz Anytime Goal Prop vs Boston Bruins


Schmaltz has scored in every Utah game this season, with 5 goals through four games, and he leads the NHL in goals.

His shooting backs up the hot start. He has 17 shots on goal, including 8 against Columbus, and three of his five goals have come on the power play.

Utah's power play is converting at 61.5%, while Boston are killing just 72.7% of penalties. We're backing Schmaltz to keep his goal streak going.

Sebastian Aho Anytime Goal Prop vs Vancouver Canucks


Aho has 4 goals in four games and has scored in three straight. He's coming off back-to-back three-point games.

Three of those goals came on the power play, where he's averaging 5:48 a night. He's also put 15 shots on goal.

Vancouver are giving up 4.5 goals and 30 shots per game, and their penalty kill is at 68.8%. Aho is at home against a leaky defence, so we like him to score again.

Jack Eichel Points Prop vs Toronto Maple Leafs


Eichel has 10 points through four games and leads the NHL in scoring. He's had multiple points in three of those four games.

Vegas are scoring 4.25 goals per game, and Eichel is driving the offence with 19:35 a night, including 4:34 on the power play. He had a goal and three assists in Seattle on Tuesday.
