They gave up a couple of goals in the second period though, and that proved to be their undoing as they fell to a 3-1 defeat.

Denmark made a strong start to their second game too, as they took a 2-1 lead in the first period of their showdown with the United States.

The USA came storming back in the second though, and then scored a couple more goals in the final period to condemn the Danes to a 6-3 defeat.

Latvia Looking To Build On 1st Win

Latvia enter their final group game having got off the mark with a victory last time out.

The Latvians opened the tournament with a game against the United States – one of the favourites to win it all.

The sat locked at 1-1 after the first period, but they had no answer for the Americans in the second and ultimately fell to a 5-1 defeat.

Latvia rebounded in their second outing though, winning a thrilling seven-goal showdown with Germany.

The Latvians twice came from behind in that one, with third period goals from Eduards Traimaks and Renars Krastenbergs wrapping up a 4-3 victory.

Verdict

Latvia may have got their first win last time out, but this game has to be considered a pick ‘em.

Denmark have been scoring well and the Latvians have given up a bunch of goals, so we are taking the Danes in this one.
