Frölunda vs Linköping Tips and Predictions
I’m backing Frölunda to score over 3.5 team goals on Saturday. They need a response after back-to-back defeats, and Linköping’s defence gives them a good opportunity to deliver one. I’m taking the hosts to hit four.
Frölunda scored four in their last home game against Rögle and have recently put six past both Djurgården and HV71. Keeping the puck out has been the bigger problem, which is why I’d rather back their attack than get involved in the handicap.
Linköping have conceded 21 goals across their last five games, including eight at Malmö on Tuesday. Their defensive injury problems aren’t helping either, with Max Martin sidelined and Sami Niku and Mikko Kokkonen also missing from the latest update. Frölunda should get chances against that stretched back line, and I’m backing them to make enough count.
Erik Thorell has seven points in eight appearances, getting on the scoresheet in six of those games. He has kept contributing even while the team’s results have dipped, collecting five points across his last five. I’m backing him to help get the home attack going with another point-producing performance.
Max Lindholm is my anytime goalscorer pick. He has scored in three of his last five appearances, including Thursday’s defeat at Örebro, and lined up alongside Thorell and Jacob Peterson in that game. Against a defence giving up this many goals, I’m taking Lindholm to find the net again.

Their injury-hit defence has a lot on its plate, particularly with Martin, Niku and Kokkonen missing. Tim Söderlund has supplied an assist in three straight appearances, but the team has scored just three goals across its latest two outings. They need more at the other end to take some pressure off the back line.
