Rögle hosts Frölunda with both teams bringing impressive form—Frölunda with three straight wins and Rögle strong at home. The article tips under 4.5 goals and under 1.5 first-period goals, expecting a cautious, closely fought match. Previous stats show Rögle’s home games and Frölunda’s away outings have started conservatively. The main recommendation is a draw after regulation, as neither side holds a clear edge over 60 minutes. Expect a hard-fought, low-scoring contest.

Rögle vs Frölunda Tips and Predictions

I’m backing under 4.5 goals here. Frölunda head to Ängelholm with three straight wins behind them, but Rögle are a different proposition on home ice. Something has to give, and I don’t see either side having an easy night.

Frölunda put six past Djurgården on Tuesday, but I’m not expecting them to pick up where they left off. Rögle have conceded just eight goals in five home games, and the visitors haven’t been anywhere near as free-scoring on their travels. This looks more like a game where both teams have to work for their chances.

I’m taking under 1.5 first-period goals as well. Rögle’s home games have been slow burners—all five have reached the first break with no more than one goal on the board. I’m expecting another cagey opening, with neither side giving much away.

As for the winner, I can’t split them over 60 minutes. Frölunda are playing the better hockey right now, but Rögle have won four of five at home. I’m not overlooking that just because the visitors enjoyed themselves against Djurgården. The draw after regulation is my pick.

  • Rögle have won four of their five home games.
  • All five Rögle home games have featured under 1.5 first-period goals.
  • Frölunda have won three straight, conceding four goals across that run.
  • Frölunda’s last three away games have featured under 1.5 first-period goals.
  • Rögle’s last two matches have both finished 2–1.

Frölunda Form

Frölunda will be feeling good after Tuesday’s 6–2 win over Djurgården. They piled on the pressure, outshot their opponents 45–14 and made it three wins on the bounce. After beating Linköping and edging Skellefteå in a shootout, that was a convincing way to keep the run going.

The road hasn’t always been as kind, though. Their last away outing brought a welcome 3–0 win at Linköping, but that followed defeats at Timrå and Björklöven. They’re coming into this one with confidence, but Rögle away is a proper test of whether they can keep it rolling.

Rögle Form

Rögle will want a response after losing 2–1 at home to Örebro. They had won their first four home games, so that result took some shine off an otherwise strong start in front of their own fans. Before that, they had come out on the right side of another tight one, beating Björklöven 2–1 away.

They haven’t been scoring for fun, but they’ve generally kept things close at home. Dennis Everberg has chipped in with three goals across his last three appearances, giving them a scoring threat heading into this game. Rögle don’t need to turn this into a shootout to give Frölunda a tough evening.

Verdict

Under 4.5 goals is my main pick, alongside under 1.5 first-period goals and the draw after regulation. Frölunda have the momentum, Rögle have the home record, and I’m calling this 1–1 after 60 minutes.
