Boston Bruins are tipped to beat the St. Louis Blues, including overtime and shootouts, as the Blues have failed to score in over 123 minutes and suffered consecutive home shutouts. Boston's defence has allowed just 2.15 goals per game, and the Bruins have scored first in nine of their 13 matches. Player props include Elias Lindholm to record at least one point, having done so in three straight games, and James Hagens to register two or more shots on goal, a mark he has hit in four of his last five appearances.

St. Louis Blues vs Boston Bruins NHL Predictions & Betting Tips - Bruins to Extend Blues' Misery

Boston's strong defensive record should be too much for a St. Louis side struggling to score, with the Bruins backed to win, Elias Lindholm to register a point and James Hagens to record 2+ shots.

The Bruins arrive in St. Louis with a 9-3-1 record, conceding just 2.15 goals per game. The Blues, meanwhile, have gone 123 minutes and 55 seconds without scoring, including consecutive home shutout defeats.

Boston have scored first in nine of their 13 games, and another early goal could leave St. Louis chasing a game against one of the NHL's strongest defensive teams.

Lindholm has recorded points in three consecutive games and nine of 13 this season. Hagens is another appealing player selection, having registered at least two shots in eight of his 13 appearances, including four of his last five.

Boston have scored first in nine of their 13 games.
The Bruins have conceded just 28 goals in 13 matches.
St. Louis have been shut out in consecutive home games.
Hagens has registered 25 shots in 13 games, while Lindholm has 11 points.

Head to Head

Boston won both meetings last season by identical 5-2 scorelines, including their most recent visit to St. Louis.

St. Louis Blues Form

St. Louis are 5-6-1 and have failed to score in their last two games, extending their goalless drought beyond 123 minutes.

Tuesday's 2-0 defeat to Montreal was particularly frustrating. The Blues fired 46 shots on goal but couldn't beat Jacob Fowler. Their previous outing was a 4-0 loss to Carolina, where they were outshot 39-24.

The Blues have scored ten goals across their last five matches, although all ten came before their consecutive shutouts. Injuries to Torey Krug, Logan Mailloux and Tyler Tucker have also weakened their defensive options.

Boston Bruins Form

Boston have opened the season 9-3-1, outscoring opponents 49-28, and have won seven of their last ten games.

The Bruins suffered a narrow 2-1 defeat against Carolina on Tuesday, managing just 16 shots on goal. That followed an entertaining 6-4 victory over San Jose, where Boston scored three goals in under four minutes during the third period to turn the game around.

Lindholm has been a consistent contributor with 11 points in 13 appearances, including points in three straight. Hagens has also been active offensively, recording at least two shots in four of his last five games.

Boston's goaltending provides further confidence. Jeremy Swayman carries a .921 save percentage, while Michael DiPietro has impressed with a .941 mark, giving the Bruins reliable options against a struggling St. Louis attack.

Verdict

Boston Bruins to win, including overtime and shootouts, is the preferred selection against a Blues team struggling to find the net. Elias Lindholm 1+ point and James Hagens 2+ shots on goal complete the card.
