Bookmakers fear Frankie Dettori at Royal Ascot

Dettori has been very popular with punters to be crowned Top Jockey at Royal Ascot again this year according to bookmaker Ladbrokes. 

The Italian jockey is the odds-on favourite to land the title at 10/11, ahead of Ryan Moore at 5/4.

After scooping the title at last year’s meeting, the bookmaker has reported that ‘Frankie Fever’ is sweeping the nation already. 

Dettori has six rides to kick start the week and all of his mounts have been attracting support for the opening day of the Royal Ascot meeting. 

Daarik has been particularly popular in the opening race at odds of 4/1.

Nicola McGeady of Ladbrokes said: “Frankie Dettori has the ability to move markets like no other jockey and once again, he is proving to be the man everyone wants to be with. He has an enviable book of rides to kick start the week, all of which have come for money. If it’s anything like last year, he will have us on the edge of our seats from start to finish.”
