The article highlights the Glasgow Warriors' strong home form, having won 11 consecutive home games against Connacht. Despite a mixed start to the current season, Glasgow remain favourites, especially after a 33-33 draw with Ulster and a 26-20 win over Munster. Connacht, while encouraging in their latest win over Benetton, have historically struggled in Glasgow and sit tenth in the URC table. The article ultimately tips Glasgow to continue their home dominance and cover the -12.5 handicap against Connacht.

Glasgow are superb at home over the last few campaigns, so despite a slow start to this season, we are backing their home dominance over Connacht to continue.

Key Stats - Warriors Solid at Home

  • Glasgow Warriors have won 4 of their last 6 fixtures (URC).
  • Glasgow Warriors have won 11 consecutive home games against Connacht.
  • Connacht lost by 12 points to Glasgow Warriors last season.

Glasgow Dominant in H2H

Glasgow lead 20-8 with two draws in their last 30 matches against Connacht.

Glasgow Slow Start to the Season

The Glasgow Warriors scored two converted tries in the first half against Ulster last weekend but trailed their opponents by five points at the break.

Franco Smith's side added three tries and two conversions in the second stanza but it was not enough to get the result, drawing 33-33 with Ulster at home.

At the start of their URC season, the Warriors secured a 26-20 away win against Munster.

Glasgow are fifth in the United Rugby Championship standings with eight points after two rounds.

The Glasgow Warriors will be out to produce a clinical performance against Connacht after dropping points in their previous match, as they have an outstanding home record against their opponents, which includes a 33-21 victory in last season's quarter-finals.

Connacht Encouraging but Consistency Key

Connacht scored three tries and a conversion in the first half against Benetton last weekend to lead 17-12 at half-time.

The second half was a low-scoring affair, with the Galway-based side adding a single try to their tally to edge Benetton 22-19 away from home.

Before that, the Westerners faced the Stormers in their URC season opener at home, losing 29-15.

Connacht are tenth in the United Rugby Championship table with five points from two games.

Connacht will be pleased to have picked up their first victory of the new season, but face one of their bogey teams when playing away from home, having failed to win in their last 11 visits to Glasgow.
