Sebastian Korda did little of note in Australia but a final appearance at the San Diego Challenger has kick started his season.

The 25-year-old beat Michael Zheng and Frances Tiafoe in straight sets in Dallas before a tight 6-7 6-4 7-6 quarter-final defeat to Taylor Fritz.

Korda went on to win the Delray Beach Open, beating Casper Ruud and Flavio Cobolli on his way to the final. He took out Tommy Paul 6-4 6-3 to claim his third ATP Tour title.

He commented after the victory: "[It means] a lot. I’ve been through some stuff the past couple of months, years. I’ve lost a lot of finals and now to get one here in Delray, this is where I made my first ATP final, so it’s like a full-circle day. I’m just happy."

Comesana Comfortable on Clay

Francisco Comesana is 4-7 this year and yet to beat a Top 50 player. He competed in four clay court events in South America and failed to reach a quarter-final.

The Argentine lost to World No.268 Pedro Boscardin Dias at the Rosario Challenger before first round exits in Buenos Aires and Rio de Janeiro.

Comesana was last seen in Santiago where he saved a match point to get past Pedro Martinez. He lost to qualifier Andrea Pellegrino in the second round, winning 38% of his 2nd serves.
