Sinner Set to Bounce Back

The 24-year-old had another strong start in Doha where he fell in the quarter-finals. He lost 7-6 2-6 6-3 to Jakub Mensik, saving 2/4 break points.

Sinner spoke before competing in Indian Wells: “It has been a very hard practice week here for me. We spent many, many hours of practice.

“[I am] very happy with how I'm feeling on the court, and obviously we try to go as far as possible in the tournament. In the same time, we also try to improve a couple of things. I'm trying to be slightly more aggressive at times on the baseline.”

Jannik Sinner will be keen to get back to winning ways after a shock quarter-final exit in Doha. Dalibor Svrcina is into unchartered territory here, his Indian Wells campaign set to end.
