WWE WrestleMania 42 Sunday Betting Tips
The biggest event in sports entertainment returns to Las Vegas this weekend as Allegiant Stadium plays host to WWE WrestleMania for the second year running, but who will be the winners and losers in the latest instalment of the ‘Showcase of the Immortals’?
Once again the WrestleMania will be a two-night event, with night two being headlined by a world heavyweight title match between CM Punk and Roman Reigns. The second night’s card also hosts several championship matches as well as some big grudge matches, and here we will rundown each bout and offer our picks for WrestleMania Sunday:
World Heavyweight Championship: CM Punk vs Roman Reigns
CM Punk’s first ever WrestleMania main event ended in defeat, and history could repeat itself on Sunday night. He may be a part-time performer these days, but there is no denying that Roman Reigns is still the biggest star in the business and it is tough to see him losing a third straight Mania main event. Perhaps the outcome of this match will tie into the recent promos we have heard for both night’s main events – all of this discussion about TKO (the owners of WWE) has us thinking we could see CM Punk get ‘screwed’ for a company ‘golden boy’, setting up months of intriguing programming.
WWE Women's Championship: Jade Cargill vs Rhea Ripley
The bookmakers have struggled to separate Jade Cargill and Rhea Ripley, which is somewhat surprising. The WWE clearly has high hopes for Cargill, but right now Ripley is the better performer and the more popular performer, so we are backing ‘Mami’ for a successful outing at WrestleMania.
‘The Demon’ Finn Balor vs Dominik Mysterio

‘The Demon’ will finally return to WWE on Sunday night in what could be in another potential showstealer. These two former Judgment Day running buddies will finally come to blows and we would be shocked to see the WWE waste the return of ‘The Demon’ by having Finn Balor lose this matchup – especially in front of a crowd that will be geared up to see Balor’s alter-ego for the first time in years.
United States Championship: Sami Zayn vs Trick Williams
The WWE have been teasing a Sami Zayn heel turn for a while – perhaps they will pull the trigger at the biggest event on their calendar. Zayn scoring a cheap win with questionable methods would not only end his babyface reign, but it would also keep Trick Williams looking strong despite taking a loss. The WWE clearly has something in 'Trick Willy', and him being wronged may only add to the growing support he has been getting from the fans.
Oba Femi vs Brock Lesnar

Paul Heyman called this the ‘real main event’ in a recent promo, and he is probably right. Of all the matches at WrestleMania, this one has every fan salivating. Oba Femi has been booked to look tremendously strong, and that usually would be a WWE sign for Brock Lesnar ultimately winning. However, it cannot be denied just how over Femi has got in a short time on the roster – so we are backing WWE to strap the rocket ship to his back with a HUGE win.
Intercontinental Championship Ladder Match: Penta vs Je’Von Evans vs Dragon Lee vs JD McDonagh vs Rusev vs Rey Mysterio
This has the recipe for a jaw-dropping match that provides many, many moments for the end-of-WrestleMania highlights video – but who wins it? We would not rule out one final moment on the grandest stage for Rey Mysterio, but right now the biggest star in this matchup is the champion, Penta. The Mexican superstar made an immediate connection with WWE fans after debuting last year, and him being at the top of the ladder holding the belt would be a strong start to the second night and get the live crowd going.
