Mateusz Gamrot vs Quillan Salkilld Betting Tips – Gamrot To Score UFC Fight Night Upset
Mateusz Gamrot, currently ranked eighth in the lightweight division, is tipped to pull off an upset against number twelve ranked Quillan Salkilld by winning via decision. While Salkilld boasts an undefeated UFC record and an impressive run of quick finishes, his cardio has shown vulnerabilities in longer fights. Gamrot’s propensity for going the distance, combined with his grappling skills, positions him well to capitalize if the fight enters the later rounds. The key recommendation is to back Gamrot to win by decision, especially if he survives Salkilld’s early aggression.

Mateusz Gamrot Seeking Back-To-Back Victories
Mateusz Gamrot is the number eight ranked lightweight contender with a professional record of 26-4 (8 KOs, 6 Subs) and 1 No Contest.
Gamrot debuted in the UFC back in late 2020, but got off to a losing start as he lost a split decision to Guram Ktateladze.
He issued a strong response though, knocking out Scott Holzman in the second round for his first win in the UFC, and that proved to be the start of a four-game win streak.
The 35-year-old Polish fighter submitted Jeremy Stephens in the first round, before knocking out Carlos Diego Ferreira in the second and out-pointing Arman Tsarukyan.
Gamrot’s run was halted in October 2022 when he dropped a decision to Beneil Dariush, but he again responded well to a setback, sandwiching a TKO win over Rafael Fiziev with decision successes against Jalin Turner and Rafael dos Anjos.
However, he has not managed to string together wins since then, going 2-2 in his last four fights.
The Polish grappler bounced back from a split decision defeat to Dan Hooker with a points win over Ludovit Klein, and then answered a second-round submission loss to Charles Oliveira by tapping out Estaban Ribovics back in April.
Quillan Salkilld 5-0 Under UFC Banner
Quillan Salkilld is the number 12 ranked lightweight contender with a professional record of 12-1 (5 KOs, 4 Subs).
Salkilld lost his pro debut back in February 2021, but bounced back from that early setback with a six-fight win streak on the Australian domestic scene to earn the attention of the UFC.
He made a successful appearance on Dana White’s Contender Series in September 2024, out-pointing Gauge Young over three rounds, and that was enough to earn him a deal with the promotion.
The 26-year-old Australian marked his UFC debut with a 19-second knockout of Anshul Jubli, and followed that up with a unanimous decision victory over Yanal Ashmouz.
Salkilld then produced a 150-second demolition of Nasrat Haqparats to complete a successful 2025 that propelled him up the 155lb ladder.
He has already fought twice this year too – backing up a first-round submission of Jamie Mullarkey with a first-round knockout of Beneil Dariush.
Verdict
Quillan Salkilld has been on a tear since arriving in the UFC, but his cardio issues against Yanal Ashmouz do offer some cause for concern.
That fight was a three-rounder and this is scheduled for five rounds, so if Mateusz Gamrot can avoid an early knockout, he is capable of leaning on his grappling to grind out an upset.
