They are also riding a seven-game winning streak, starting June with back-to-back victories against Toronto Tempo 97-82, Indiana Fever 83-75, Connecticut Sun 89-80 and Atlanta Dream 104-90.
In their most recent appearance, New York cruised past Washington Mystics 86-64 in front of the home crowd last weekend, controlling the tempo from start to finish and winning comfortably. Jonquel Jones topped the scoring charts with 20 points, while Breanna Stewart added a double-double with 14 points and 12 rebounds.
Sky Hoping to Stay Competitive at Home
It’s no surprise Chicago Sky are tagged as underdogs here considering they have earned just four victories in their 13 appearances in the 2026 campaign and currently sit near the bottom of the Eastern Conference.
After beating last-placed Connecticut Sun 85-80 in early June, they suffered back-to-back defeats against newcomers Toronto Tempo 85-68 and Atlanta Dream 82-75.
They came close to ending this losing streak in their latest outing against Indiana Fever but couldn’t close the game out in regulation, eventually losing 114-106 after overtime. Sydney Taylor delivered one of her best performances of the season with 30 points and 10/14 shooting from the field.
