The Philadelphia 76ers are tipped to cover the spread against the Indiana Pacers, with Tyrese Maxey expected to score 25 or more points and the game predicted to finish Under the total. Philadelphia's defensive pressure, highlighted by forcing 18.8 turnovers per game and ranking fourth in defensive efficiency, is seen as a decisive factor, especially against an Indiana side struggling with injuries and ball security. Maxey has scored at least 25 points in every game so far, and Indiana's potential absences could further tip the balance in favour of the 76ers.

Philadelphia 76ers vs Indiana Pacers NBA Predictions & Betting Tips - Sixers to Dominate on the Road

Philadelphia's defensive pressure should be too much for an injury-hit Indiana side, with the 76ers backed to cover, Tyrese Maxey to score 25+ points and the game to finish Under the total.

The 76ers have started 3-1, holding every opponent to 116 points or fewer. They're forcing 18.8 turnovers per game, and that pressure could prove decisive against an Indiana team struggling with ball security.

Maxey has scored at least 25 points in all four games, averaging 28.8 while playing almost 38 minutes a night. Joel Embiid's return hasn't reduced his scoring opportunities, making Maxey 25+ points the standout player prop.

The Under also appeals. Despite Philadelphia playing at the league's fourth-fastest pace, their games have averaged just 217 total points. The Sixers rank 29th in offensive rating, suggesting their extra possessions aren't translating into efficient scoring.

  • Philadelphia rank fourth defensively, allowing 99.6 points per 100 possessions.
  • The 76ers are forcing 18.8 turnovers per game.
  • Maxey is averaging 28.8 points and has scored 25+ in all four games.
  • Indiana are shooting just 32.7% from three-point range.

Head to Head

Philadelphia won all four meetings last season by an average of 12.8 points, including a 105-94 victory in Indianapolis.

Philadelphia 76ers Form

Philadelphia have opened 3-1 despite shooting just 31.7% from three. Their defence has carried them, with no opponent scoring more than 116 points.

The 76ers suffered a 106-93 defeat to Detroit on Sunday without Embiid, although Maxey still contributed 29 points. That followed a 127-116 win over Milwaukee, where Embiid recorded 28 points, 11 rebounds and 10 assists.

Embiid and VJ Edgecombe are expected back after missing Sunday's game, strengthening a Philadelphia lineup that has already demonstrated impressive defensive consistency.

Indiana Pacers Form

Indiana are 2-2 after consecutive defeats against Dallas and Milwaukee. Turnovers remain a concern, with the Pacers averaging 15.5 per game and committing 21 in their loss to Dallas.

Monday's 110-102 defeat in Milwaukee was particularly disappointing after Indiana led by 11 at halftime. The Pacers managed just 17 fourth-quarter points despite strong performances from Tyrese Haliburton and Pascal Siakam.

Injuries could make things considerably harder. Ivica Zubac remains sidelined, while Haliburton and Andrew Nembhard are questionable. Losing either guard would further weaken Indiana's ability to handle Philadelphia's defensive pressure.

Verdict

Philadelphia 76ers to cover, Tyrese Maxey 25+ points and Under the game total are the selections, with the Sixers' defence expected to control proceedings.
