Brisbane Bullets vs Cairns Taipans Verdict


Brisbane are overpriced to land the latest instalment of the Sunshine Stoush with Cairns Taipans. The Bullets are riding high on the back of an away win, while Tyrell Harrison and Jack McVeigh are the value player props.

Cairns lead the all-time series 37-31 and have dominated recent meetings, winning six of the last seven. The Taipans won the previous encounter 97-91 on October 8th, despite Harrison's 23-point, 18-rebound performance for Brisbane.

Brisbane Bullets Form


Brisbane improved to 4-4 with a convincing 98-81 victory over Illawarra on Saturday, bouncing back from a heavy 106-85 defeat to Tasmania earlier in the week.

Nate Hinton led the scoring against Illawarra with 21 points and six assists, while Tyrell Harrison contributed 14 points and eight rebounds. Brisbane controlled the contest inside and built a 20-point halftime advantage.

The Bullets have won two of their last three games but remain inconsistent, particularly at home, where they have lost 16 of their last 20 matches at Brisbane Entertainment Centre.

Cairns Taipans Form


Cairns also enter Round 7 at 4-4 after edging New Zealand 86-84 on Sunday, snapping a three-game losing streak against the Breakers.

Jack McVeigh finished with 15 points, seven assists and four steals, while Jaylin Galloway contributed 18 points and six assists. The Taipans have now won three of their last four games, including their earlier victory over Brisbane.

Cairns lead the NBL with 12.2 made three-pointers per game, although their defence remains vulnerable, conceding 96.0 points per contest and allowing more rebounds than any other team.
