100 Thieves Are Still Dangerous
100 Thieves entered VALORANT Champions 2026 as the main favourites. While they lived up to the hype during the group stage, 100T got knocked out of the upper bracket playoffs in the first round by no other than G2 Esports.
Regardless of that minor hiccup, 100T picked themselves up quickly and defeated both Nongshim RedForce and NRG in the lower bracket to keep their dream of hoisting the trophy alive.
Even though 100 Thieves no longer hold a perfect record this tournament, they are arguably still the strongest team remaining in the race, and a lot of that is due to their firepower.
Asuna in particular has been phenomenal, averaging the tournament’s second-highest performance rating at 1.25, ahead of Cryocells at 1.16 and bang at 1.13.

G2 Esports were not expected to make it very far in this tournament. However, as they’ve done before, G2 Esports stepped up when it mattered the most and not only made it through Group C, but also defeated 100 Thieves and T1 in the playoffs to reach the final four.
Their biggest strength seems to be strong synergy. G2 Esports always seem to have the right idea of how they want to approach games, and they navigate difficult situations well. Some of it comes from excellent IGLi-ng and the experience this roster possesses.
Even individually, this is not a bad team. Trent, in particular, has been great, and the same can be said for babybay. So even though G2 don’t have standout performers, they have solid pieces and work well as a unit.
