3DMAX vs Ninjas in Pyjamas Betting Predictions

3DMAX and Ninjas in Pyjamas will face off on Wednesday, July 1, in the opening round of XSE Pro League 2026 group stage, marking their first clash of the season.

Both teams have struggled with results this year, and they enter the Chinese tournament with slightly altered rosters. While 3DMAX will debut their new player, Kursy, Ninjas in Pyjamas enter the event with n0te as a stand-in for r1nkle, who left for G2 Esports in June.

3DMAX have procuded some questionable tournament runs ahead of XSE Pro League, but they have far more promising placements from earlier in the year. So while their form isn’t great, this squad has enough quality to perform at a relatively high level.

  • 3DMAX are capable of more than they’ve recently shown
  • Both teams will feature a new player
  • There should be no clear favourite

Ninjas in Pyjamas with a Weakened Roster

Ninas in Pyjamas have been making some noise in lesser tournaments this season, with gold medals from Roman Imperium Cup V and VI, and more recently, a title run at Stake Ranked Episode 2.

The latter tournament took place in late May, and Ninjas in Pyjamas have not appeared in an official match since. Moreover, they’ve recently parted ways with their AWPer Artem "r1nkle" Moroz, who left for G2 Esports. In his place, NiP brought in academy player Roman "n0te" Hamze, who will serve as a stand-in for this tournament.

Losing r1nkle is a major blow for Ninjas in Pyjamas, as they are without their best player. However, the core is still there, so things are not as dire as they may seem.

3DMAX With More to Prove

3DMAX enter XSE Pro League with a revamped roster, having recently benched Pierre "Ex3rcice" Bulinge and brought in Jeremy "Kursy" Gast, formerly of GamerLegion.

The new-look roster has yet to feature in an official match, while the core played their last game in May, at Stake Ranked Episode 2. In the tournament, 3DMAX failed to impress, crashing out in seventh-eighth place, continuing their dry streak after two early eliminations at Intel Extreme Masters Rio and the CS Asia Championships 2026 in April and May.

Prior to that rough stretch, 3DMAX had a solid showing at PGL Bucharest, where they placed fourth, so clearly there is some quality in this squad. The issue is that they’re not consistent enough.

3DMAX Squad & Team News

3DMAX have recently acquired Kursy as a replacement for Ex3rcice.

Verdict

Ninjas in Pyjamas are expected to win, but it is hard to find a solid reason to take their side in this contest. Even though NiP looked better in their most recent tournament appearance, it’s been a month since, and they’ve recently lost their best player.

So while past results would suggest Ninjas in Pyjamas are better equipped to win on Wednesday, 3DMAX also have strong showings under their belt and, unlike NiP, they did not replace their top player.

This is a 50/50 match at best.
