Aurora Gaming Have to Show Consistency
Aurora Gaming looked very good in Stage 3 of the IEM Cologne Major. They made it through the stage with a 3-1 record, beating Monte, G2 Esports, and 9z Team, whereas their only loss came against Team Spirit.
Aurora ended the stage as the fourth-best fragging team with a 1.10 performance rating. Wicadia, in particular, has been phenomenal, with a 1.25 performance rating and +46 K/D difference, making him the fifth-best fragging player.
On paper, Aurora Gaming are very good, although it is worth noting that they’ve become known as a team who collapse in the playoffs. Reportedly, they’ve been working with professionals to fix the issue, and this game will be a proper test for whether Aurora have indeed become more stable.

BetBom Team Are in Great Form
BetBoom Team have looked incredible this tournament, and have fought their way through all three stages. However, many consider their run as a fluke, as BB Team have been fragging much better than initially expected.
Most of it is thanks to Magnojez, who, despite being an inexperienced player, really stepped up. The big question is whether he will be as potent in the playoffs, where the pressure could get to him. Even Boombl4 had an outstanding fragging performance in Stage 3, but that is not something he will be able to maintain.
With all due respect, BB Team overperformed. And while there is a world where they continue to look good, the big question is how Magnojez will do on LAN.

Verdict
This is an interesting match between BetBoom Team, who’ve arguably been playing better than expected, and Aurora Gaming, who are very strong but prone to slipping when it matters the most.
Both teams have some question marks above them, but it is hard to ignore Aurora Gaming’s higher ceiling. They’re also a more experienced team, which could be a difference maker in what should otherwise be a close game.
