The Counter-Strike 2 scene is set for the BLAST Open Fall, marking one of the most significant stops of the autumn tournament calendar.

Launching on Wednesday, August 26, this S-tier tournament will unfold across two locations, including Copenhagen and Porto, offering esports fans something to look forward to and an event no one should miss.

This BLAST-organised event brings together 16 of the world's elite rosters, who will go head-to-head for Club points, global ranking positions, and a share of the $1,100,000 prize pool, plus the chance to lift the prestigious trophy.

With the world’s best in attendance, BLAST Open Fall 2026 promises to be a highly competitive affair, but only a few squads are given a realistic chance of making a run for the trophy, most notably Falcons, Team Spirit, and Team Vitality, having shown promise in recent tournaments.

However, past trophies won't secure a championship in Porto, raising the question of which team will step up in the coming weeks and make a run for the title.

This is our free BLAST Open Fall 2026 tournament preview, with expert predictions, event schedules, format breakdown, team overviews, and outright betting odds from the top-rated bookmakers for CS2 betting.

When Does BLAST Open Fall 2026 Start?

BLAST Open Fall 2026 Favourites & Odds

Team Falcons sit atop the food chain as the team to beat. They are the reigning Major champions and one of the most stacked rosters in the world, having recently demonstrated that they have the tools to contest the biggest trophies.

Despite their minor slip-up at the Esports World Cup, where Falcons crashed out in the quarterfinals, many expect the Falcons to look a lot more like they did in Cologne, making them a serious threat for the BLAST Open title.

Close behind the Falcons are Team Spirit, who are fresh off a title run at the Esports World Cup. Much like the Falcons, this is a very stacked roster, fielding some of the best players in the scene – and this raw quality alone makes them a team to watch.

While success has been relatively hard to come by for Spirit this season, they have made the semifinals of the Major, placed second in BLAST Bounty Summer, and won the EWC, demonstrating strong form.

Team Vitality are not to be overlooked either. They have looked a bit off in recent months and not nearly as potent as they were in the first half of the year.

However, as one of the most successful teams in Counter-Strike history, they have the star power and tactical experience to dominate and bounce back with yet another S-Tier trophy.

FURIA are always a dangerous wildcard to win any big event, and BLAST Open Fall Porto 2026 is no exception. They haven't won a trophy yet this season, but they placed second at the Cologne Major and made a deep run at the Esports World Cup, finishing fourth.

As a momentum-driven team, if FURIA can find their confidence early, they have the star power to bypass the favourites and secure a deep playoff spot.

Natus Vincere made some noise in May, with a title run at IEM Atlanta, but failed to deliver in Cologne and at the Esports World Cup. Form has not been great for this squad, but NaVi remain a team who can gain momentum at any point and surprise.

This disciplined, well-prepared roster will be highly motivated to showcase their power after back-to-back early eliminations, but much like FURIA, they need a strong start.

Rounding out the competitive upper tier are MOUZ, coming off an incredibly dominant BLAST Bounty championship run.

Their run at the Esports World Cup was cut short by FUT Esports in the quarterfinals, which isn’t optimal, but if we zoom out, MOUZ have consistently challenged top spots in LAN events since May – except for their early elimination from the Cologne Major.

Hungry to re-establish themselves as one of the world’s top contenders, MOUZ can’t be overlooked.

Wagering on the BLAST Open Porto a simple process, largely because the tournament enjoys excellent coverage from various betting sites.

As one of the biggest events of the autumn season, most bookmakers provide extensive markets for the tournament, giving esports bettors plenty of platforms to choose from.

Among the options, Stake stands out as a top choice, delivering highly competitive Counter-Strike odds, excellent market coverage, free live streams, and various promotions for active players.

Verdict

With multiple elite rosters entering the tournament, BLAST Open Fall 2026 is set to deliver a tight battle for top spots. However, Falcons look like the most reliable pick to win the title.

This squad boasts a remarkable ceiling, fielding some of the top players in the scene, most of whom are in excellent shape. They failed to shine in Paris, but Falcons’ run to the Major title in Cologne is proof enough that they can handle everyone, especially with some other top contenders showing shaky form.

While there are a few strong contenders, MOUZ stand out as an interesting outsider pick to reach the finals. They have recently won a BLAST Bounty tournament, and showed good things at the Esports World Cup.

Widely known as one of the most consistent teams in the world, this roster has shown it can beat the absolute best when its players hit their stride. If MOUZ can show the same level of play they did at the start of the month and gain momentum through the group stages, they have the tools to surprise the favourites and make a deep run.
