Falcons are the reigning Major champions and one of the most stacked CS2 teams in the world. So naturally, they will be expected to dominate Legacy, who have yet to reach the status of an elite tier-1 team.

Legacy Can Bite
Legacy entered the Esports World Cup as one of the outsiders, and early on they’ve struggled to shake off that tag. They kicked off Group B with a 13-5 victory against Ninjas in Pyjamas, but looked fairly toothless against FaZe Clan in the second match, and lost 0-2.
The Brazilians then found success against their rivals, MIBR, in the lower bracket decider with a fairly competitive 2-0 sweep, to book a spot in the playoffs.
Facing early elimination from the knockout stage, Legacy stepped up and cooked up a major upset against Natus Vincere, whom they defeated 2-0, with 13-9 on Inferno and 13-2 on Ancient in what can be viewed as a solid indication that Legacy can bite tier-1 teams.
N1ssim had a monstrous performance on the day, posting a 1.75 rating, ahead of dumau at 1.32, and try at 1.25.
While Legacy beating NaVi can be viewed as a fluke, they’ve previously challenged tier-1 teams, and there is no denying the same can happen on Friday.

Team Falcons Aren’t Slowing Down
Team Falcons headed to France as one of the top contenders to win the EWC trophy, after their dominant display at the recent Intel Extreme Masters Cologne Major. And so far, they’ve yet to show any signs of slowing down.
Falcons kicked off the tournament by topping Group B, with wins against K27 (13-6) and Astralis (2-0), before taking down The MongolZ in the first round of the playoffs.
The latter match was very one-sided, as Falcons won 13-3 on Inferno and 13-8 on Dust II. Kyousuke had another strong performance, posting a 1.78 rating, slightly ahead of his teammate and another of the tournament’s top-rated players, m0NESY at 1.72.
With the duo in top shape, Falcons will be very difficult to stop. But as always, there’s a fair fear that Falcons will stumble in the latter stages of the tournament.
