Both teams handled their Play-In opponents with ease, but RedForce have had an easier time, as they had to play Team Secret.
Even before that match, RedForce have struggled to prove much, as they’ve not found much success against stronger opponents – which raises the question of whether Nongshim have what it takes to challenge T1.
T1 have been very consistent and stable in Stage 2, looking very much like they did in Stage 1 and in the Kickoff event. So while their ceiling is still unexplored, T1 are a more stable squad and rightly viewed as favourites.

T1 Are In Great Shape
T1 had a very good group stage, ending Group Omega in third, with a 3-2 record. They had lost to VARREL and DetonatioN FocusMe, but also won against Paper Rex, DRX, and Team Secret, without many issues.
In the Play-ins, T1 have so far played just one game, against FULL SENSE. But in that one game, T1 looked extremely good, and they won with 13-1 on Breeze and 13-8 on Lotus.
T1 have dropped just two games this stage and continue to look like one of the region’s top squads, showing much of the same as what they did in Stage 1 and in the Kickoff event.

Nongshim RedForce Can Bite
Nongshim RedForce placed fourth in Group Alpha, with a 2-3 record, which was enough to secure a direct bye to the second round of the VCT Pacific Stage 2 Play-In stage. There, they handled Team Secret with relative ease, winning 13-9 on Summit and 13-5 on Breeze.
While RedForce looked dominant in that game, it was against one of the league's weakest teams. And even if we zoom out, Nongshim RedForce haven’t found much success against stronger teams in the group play, having beaten only Global Esports and ZETA DIVISION.
Nongshim RedForce have played some close matches against stronger opponents, and they’ve been a bit unlucky not to win more games. But until RedForce find ways to consistently win, they’re hard to trust.

Verdict
Qualitatively, Nongshim RedForce are close to T1 and, on paper, look like a squad that can trouble the VCT Pacific Kickoff runners-up. But their performances haven’t been great, and Nongshim RedForce haven’t been very consistent of late.
T1, on the other side, are very stable. They know how they like to play and have clearly divided roles. That, combined with a deep map pool and good understanding of the meta, makes T1 a reliable pick to deal with mid-table squads like Nongshim RedForce.
