LOUD Are in Excellent Shape
LOUD had a quiet start to the year. They finished VCT Americas Kickoff 11th-12th and Americas Stage 1 in seventh-eighth place. Even in summer, they failed to impress, missing the Esports World Cup after placing fourth in the Americas qualifier.
However, after a shaky start to the year, LOUD picked up the pace in Stage 2 and made a run to the VCT Americas Stage 2 grand final, where they narrowly lost to 100 Thieves.
The team as a whole improved drastically at the end of the season, and a lot of LOUD’s success is thanks to lukxo, who has been making a name for himself as one of the best VALORANT players in the world.

EDward Gaming Can Do Well on Big Stages
EDward Gaming are arguably the most dangerous team hailing from VCT China, fielding four former VALORANT Champions winners. They weren’t particularly impressive in the second half of the season, with a ninth-12th place finish at the Esports World Cup and ninth-10th in VCT China Stage 2.
However, while EDG did not look great in the final stretch of the season, they also didn’t have to win Stage 2, having previously won Stage 1, and placed third in China Kickoff and Masters London.
This is a quality roster, with somewhat of a unique characteristic. They tend to take random plays and timings, which can catch opponents off guard. This approach makes it hard to prepare for EDG, and it was something that helped the Chinese squad surprise top squads in past big events.

EDward Gaming are a very good team, and a squad who are not getting enough respect. They have solid individual players, and their style of play, with random timings, can be hard to deal with for most teams.
However, while EDG have their strengths, LOUD travel to China in excellent shape, having played incredibly well in Stage 2, beating some of the world’s best teams in VCT Americas.
