MIBR will take on Eternal Fire in their first meeting of the IEM Beijing 2026 Global Qualifiers. Both teams have made recent roster changes and enter the match with inconsistent form and much to prove. Eternal Fire are less experienced against top-tier competition but have shown signs of improvement, while MIBR are considered the favorites due to their stronger track record against similar-level opponents. The recommendation is to back MIBR, particularly at a -1.5 map handicap, due to their recent effectiveness against teams like Eternal Fire.

MIBR vs Eternal Fire Betting Predictions

MIBR and Eternal Fire will face off on Wednesday, September 2, in the first round of Intel Extreme Masters Beijing 2026 Global Qualifiers, marking their first clash of the season.

Both teams have made some roster changes of late, and will look to make a splash in the upcoming event. Yet the eyes will be mostly on Eternal Fire, who have struggled for form over the last few weeks, failing to find any serious traction in their competitive endeavours.

MIBR have not been significantly more successful, though, meaning both squads enter this match with a lot to prove, hoping to start the qualifiers strong and fight for a spot in the upcoming IEM event.

  • Eternal Fire are unproven
  • MIBR are priced as favourites

MIBR Need a Bounce Back

MIBR enter IEM Beijing Global Qualifiers following a very poor display at the Esports World Cup, where they managed only one victory against K27, but lost against Astralis and Legacy.

Before the EWC, MIBR showed better form and won the StarSeries Fall South American qualifiers, beating Fluxo W7M, LyP, ShindeN, and BESTIA. Yet all that proves very little as MIBR have not been nearly as impressive on international stages.

MIBR have had their moments this season. They made it through the first stage of IEM Cologne Major, and they picked up wins against BIG and FaZe Clan at XSE Pro League in July. Yet their more recent showings against international opponents have left a lot to be desired.

Eternal Fire Have Not Amazed of Late

Eternal Fire enter IEM Beijing qualifiers with something to prove, as a tier-two team who’ve not featured in many notable events this season. They have spent most of the year playing in B-tier events, yet EF have found some recent success, including a gold medal at European Pro League Series 8.

Since then, EF have suffered early eliminations from NODWIND Clutch Series #10 and the Esports World Cup Last Chance Qualifiers, before winning subtlety Intel Extreme Masters Beijing Global Open Qualifier and the Stake Ranked E4 Open Qualifier.

Over that stretch, Eternal Fire have beaten ENCE, 6666, 100 Thieves, ex-RUBY, and 1win Team, which aren’t the most challenging opponents, but at the very least Eternal Fire are in good shape.

Despite failing to produce noteworthy tournament results, EF are in solid shape, which can go a long way.

Verdict

Eternal Fire are a lower-rated team than MIBR, with less experience playing in bigger events. They’ve also not had a chance to face many strong teams, meaning EF are unproven against squads of MIBR’s calibre; however, despite all that, Eternal Fire are in good shape.

Whether that is enough to pick Eternal Fire is up for debate, but given the fact that MIBR have been very effective against teams of EF’s calibre of late, it is easier to believe that the Brazilians will walk away unharmed rather than EF doing serious damage.
