Movistar KOI vs T1 Betting Predictions

T1 and Movistar KOI will battle it out for a spot in the 2026 League of Legends World Championship playoffs on Wednesday, October 28, in fourth round high matches.

Both teams have managed a 2-1 record, and they’ve looked mostly equally as strong. T1 have had their moments but have been largely mediocre at this event, while Movistar KOI have been sharper than expected, delivering much more stable performances than anticipated.

T1 deserve to be viewed as favourites, as the more experienced team with a higher ceiling. But they’ve not shown enough to believe that T1 will have an easy time on Wednesday.

  • T1 are a more experienced team
  • This can be anyone’s game

Movistar KOI Are Looking Sharp

Movistar KOI had an explosive start to the 2026 LoL World Championship, beating Bilibili Gaming and CTBC Flying Oyster with two very methodical matches, showing their better side for two consecutive games. Even in their loss to Dplus KIA in Round 3 High Matches, KOI did not perform particularly poorly.

The first map was highly competitive, with the two teams going back and forth for almost 40 minutes, eventually settling for a neutral game state, with good scaling and gold on key players. Movistar navigated their draft well, but they got outplayed in teamfights, struggling to stop Kaisa.

The second match was a blowout victory for Dplus KIA, who took an early lead and never looked back.
Not an ideal ending to the game, but KOI have been playing well this tournament and have mostly looked very sharp.

T1 Have More to Prove

T1 are 2-1, having taken care of business against LOS and CTBC Flying Oyster, but they also lost badly against Dplus KIA in a match T1 arguably should’ve won.

So far, T1 have shown some flashes and have, at times, looked like the T1 everyone had hoped to see. However, overall, T1 have been very mediocre, making it hard to say how strong the defending champions really are.

The talent is there, and so is T1’s high ceiling. But you have to start asking yourself whether T1 will manage to play towards the upper limit of their abilities, as so far they’ve been a bit below that.

Verdict

T1 have the brand name, but looking at the teams’ performances so far, it is hard to view this match as anything but a 50/50. Perhaps T1 deserve to be slight favourites, but even then, not enough to view them as the more likely victors.

T1 haven’t been as dominant as they should’ve been this tournament, and Movistar KOI have been much sharper than initially expected. Anyway you look at it, this is a coin-flip game, making Movistar KOI an inviting bet at plus money.
