Dplus KIA pulled off a major victory against T1 in the second round of the 2026 LoL World Championship, but they had to pull a rabbit out of the hat. For the second game in a row.
Much like in their game against G2 Esports, Dplus were on the back foot for most of the map, but still came out ahead. Admittedly, they were not behind by a significant amount, but they still were not in the lead and had to pull off a comeback. To some degree, Dplus KIA’s victory was thanks to T1’s errors.
So far, Dplus KIA have shown some good things, but they have gotten lucky in two games. On the other hand, Dplus KIA are capable of much more than what they’ve shown.

Movistar KOI Are Showing Up
Movistar KOI have exceeded expectations by going 2-0 at LoL Worlds. They humiliated Bilibili Gaming in the first round, and bested CTBC Flying Oyster on Saturday.
The latter match was very high-paced, with plenty of action and kills. The back-and-forth was going in KOI’s favour, and while CFO tried to claw their way back into the match, they were not successful at it.
While it was a chaotic game, Movistar KOI played out the match very methodically, which is not something we’re used to from them. So far, KOI have been playing incredibly well.

However, Movistar KOI have looked incredibly solid so far, showing their good side. The main concern here is that KOI are known to run hot-and-cold, so there’s always a chance that they turn into a pumpkin.
There’s a chance KOI collapse and a chance that Dplus KIA wake up. But that works both ways, so it is fair to view this game as a 50/50. As such, I like Movistar KOI more.
