Team Falcons Started The Major Campaign Strong
Team Falcons started their IEM Cologne Major campaign with a 2-1 victory against G2 Esports. It was a very competitive game, which could’ve ended either way, but the Falcons managed to pull off a reverse-sweep against the shaky G2 to get their name on the board early in Stage 3.
The series started with G2 taking Inferno 13-10, before Falcons struck back on Dust II with 13-8. The game ended on Ancient, which was a back-and-forth map, that went into overtime, which belonged to the Falcons (4-1).
Beating G2 Esports isn’t a massive accomplishment, however, considering Falcons are known to start events slow, seeing them win the first game is promising. Now they’re set to face BB Team, who appear as an easier opponent on paper, but the eye test suggests BB Team could pose a challenge.

Verdict
On paper, this is Team Falcons’ game to lose. They’ve accomplished a lot more this season and field a more experienced roster.
However, the Falcons are not perfect and even in their game against G2 Esports, they showed some cracks.

Meanwhile, BB Team are rightly viewed as underdogs, but they are in excellent shape and with the amount of firepower they have, it is very easy to imagine them causing issues to Falcons.
This game has serious upset potential.
