Team Liquid vs 1w Team Betting Tips – Team Liquid to Handle 1w Team at PARI Universe
Team Liquid will debut new midlaner Malr1ne against 1w Team in the opening round of Group A at PARI Universe on October 2. Recent results favor Liquid, as 1w Team has consistently struggled against tier-1 opponents and shown limited ability to challenge higher-caliber squads. Despite Liquid’s own mixed form and uncertainty around the new roster addition, they are seen as the more reliable pick to win this matchup, while 1w Team’s lack of success against top teams raises doubts about their chances.

On paper, there is not much to separate the two teams; however, looking at past performances, it is easy to side with Team Liquid over 1w Team.
Even though Liquid are a bit of an enigma, as they debut a new player, 1w Team have been very inefficient in dealing with higher-rated opponents in the last couple of months, making it very evident that they have no business challenging squads of higher calibre.
There’s a world where Liquid have a slower start, but even then, 1w Team haven't shown enough to suggest they have a realistic chance of dominating.

Team Liquid Debut a New Player
Team Liquid enter PARI Universe with something to prove as they haven’t had much success of late. However, there is a sense of optimism as Liquid debut Malr1ne on mid.
Team Liquid’s last tournament appearance, at BLAST SLAM VIII, ended in a tough ninth-12th place finish, which marked yet another disappointing placement in a long stretch of middling results.
However, the roster looks solid on paper, and with Malr1ne joining the team, it is fair to expect Liquid to look more potent.
How will Malr1ne do in his debut for Liquid is a mystery. But qualitatively, Liquid have gained a lot.
| Date | Event | Opponent | Result |
|---|---|---|---|
| October 2 | BLAST SLAM VIII | GamerLegion | 0-2 (L) |
| October 1 | BLAST SLAM VIII | Aurora Gaming | 2-1 (W) |
| September 29 | BLAST SLAM VIII | Yakult Brothers | 2-1 (W) |
| August 22 | The International 2026 | Team Spirit | 0-2 (L) |
| August 21 | The International 2026 | Team Falcons | 2-1 (W) |

1w Team Struggle Against Tier-1 Opponents
1w Team have been fairly disappointing of late. They exited The International and PGL Wallachia Season 9 in seventh-eighth, and earlier this month, crashed out of BLAST SLAM VIII in fifth-sixth.
Since The International, 1w Team have played 12 games and won just six, against Hokori, CvS, Pipsqueak+4, Natus Vincere, Team Nemesis, and OG. On the other side, they’ve looked completely toothless when faced with higher-rated opponents, including Team Yandex, Team Spirit, Aurora Gaming, PARIVISION, and even lost to Natus Vincere, GamerLegion, and Team Nemesis.
Even though 1w Team looks strong on paper, it’s becoming increasingly clear they can't beat tier-1 opponents.
| Date | Event | Opponent | Result |
|---|---|---|---|
| October 9 | BLAST SLAM VIII | PARIVISION | 1-2 (L) |
| October 8 | BLAST SLAM VIII | Aurora Gaming | 0-2 (L) |
| October 3 | BLAST SLAM VIII | OG | 2-1 (W) |
| October 2 | BLAST SLAM VIII | Team Nemesis | 2-0 (W) |
| September 30 | BLAST SLAM VIII | Team Spirit | 0-2 (L) |

Verdict
This might appear like a game between two equally matched teams. However, looking at 1w Team’s past results, it is hard to imagine them doing well against a tier-1 team.
1w Team have been notoriously ineffective in challenging stronger teams of late, and even though Liquid have a big question mark, fielding a new mid laner, they still appear as a more reliable pick.
