JD Gaming have not been too impressive this split. They started LPL Split 3 with a scrappy 1-2 loss against Anyone’s Legend, and then got outmuscled by Team WE (1-2).
With the players JD Gaming have, they should have won at least one of the two series. However, quality is not everything, as JD Gaming look lost on the Rift. The biggest issue with JDG is that they’ve not improved one bit from Split 2, and seemingly failed to take the extended break to work on their issues.
Even more frustrating is JDG’s unwillingness to adapt to the current meta. They’ve had plenty of time to do so, yet haven’t, and this alone could be the main reason for their downfall - at least early into the split.
