Leviatan Are Ramping Up
Leviatan kicked off the playoffs with a 0-2 loss against the tournament favourites, Paper Rex. But they bounced right back with a very promising 2-1 victory against VCT EMEA champions, Team Heretics.
It was a fairly one-sided game. Even though Leviatan lost Lotus (11-13), they did not look too shabby on the map. Meanwhile, they dominated Split (13-3) and Ascent (13-6), and with that proved that they have the tools to face any team in the tournament.
Even before the playoffs, Leviatan have shown signs of greatness, managing a 2-0 run in the Swiss Stage – with wins against Global Esports and NRG. So far, Leviatan are 3-1 this tournament, and besides the tough loss to Paper Rex, they’ve looked very solid.
One thing to note, however, is that Leviatan are not very flexible with their strategies, which could give their opponents, namely XLG, a chance to exploit Leviatan’s weaknesses.
