Robinson’s side completed their Group A fixtures with a 3-0 home victory against Kelty Hearts, finishing with four wins from four and 11 goals scored.
The Dons struggled badly during the previous Premiership campaign but will be encouraged by their positive early-season results. Aberdeen finished last season ninth in the division, recording only 11 wins from 38 games.
Hearts Look to Recover from European Blow
Hearts make the trip north after suffering a chastening Champions League exit against Sturm Graz.
The Jambos entered Wednesday’s return leg looking to overturn a 4-0 deficit but second-half goals from Simon Seidl and Emran Soglo condemned Hearts to a 2-0 home loss and a 6-0 aggregate reversal.
Wouter Vrancken’s side created several opportunities during an encouraging opening period but were again punished for failing to convert their chances.
Hearts now drop down to the Europa League playoffs where they face a stiff test against Marco Silva’s Benfica.
Since the end of last season, Hearts have won just one of five previous competitive fixtures. The Jambos also struggled on their travels, picking up just one point from their last four away Premiership fixtures.

Aberdeen have strengthened significantly during Robinson’s first summer transfer window, with Marius Muller, Lewis Mayo, Dan Happe, Nesta Guinness-Walker, Afeez Aremu, Connor Ronan and Toyosi Olusanya among the new arrivals.
“We came in to make sure we stayed in the division,” he said.
“We had to play a certain way to do that, and we’ve been able to reset over the summer with numerous new signings and a new atmosphere around the place, so we’re looking forward to the season.
“It’s been a challenge for everybody at the club. There’s a lot more that goes into signings than just watching players.
“A lot of people in the background don’t get credit, so a lot of tremendous work has been done over the summer. I believe it brings a real freshness to the side and the football club.”
Kusini Yengi remains sidelined with a long-term thigh injury.
