Bodo/Glimt are set to pursue their ninth consecutive league win as they face Sandefjord. Despite Sandefjord's reliable scoring record at home, the analysis suggests they are unlikely to prevent Bodo/Glimt's impressive run from continuing. The key conclusion is that Bodo/Glimt are favorites to claim victory, and Sandefjord will face a challenging task to halt their streak.

I have zero doubts Bodo/Glimt will collect three points here, the only question being whether they can keep a clean sheet. Their back line has been struggling recently, so I will stick to a home win & BTTS.

Key Stats

  • Bodo/Glimt have won their last 8 matches (Eliteserien).
  • Bodo/Glimt have conceded 8 goals in their last 3 matches.
  • Sandefjord have lost 5 of their last 6 away matches (Eliteserien).
  • Sandefjord have seen BTTS in 5 of their last 6 away matches (Eliteserien).
  • Sandefjord have seen BTTS in 7 of their last 9 away matches against Bodo/Glimt.

25 Previous Meetings

Bodo/Glimt have a 15-5 advantage against Sandefjord with 5 draws in their 25 head to head matches.

Yellow Horde Dominating Eliteserien

Bodo/Glimt's recent results in the Eliteserien have been stunning, eight straight victories pushing them up to 1st position after 19 rounds, having three points more than 2nd placed Viking.

After wrapping up the previous month with a 4-2 home win over red-hot Rosenborg, the Yellow Horde started September with a 2-1 road victory against Fredrikstad last weekend. Ole Blomberg and Jens Hauge were the scorers.

Bodo/Glimt failed to carry over this fantastic form to their UCL main stage opening match, suffering a heavy 5-0 defeat to Bayern Munich at Allianz Arena on Wednesday, but missed a couple of important players here due to injuries.

Sandefjord Struggling on the Road

Sandefjord have lost almost half of their league games so far (9 out of 19) and are likely to be in the relegation battle this season, currently sitting just one point above the red line.

Their recent performances on the road have been awful, suffering back to back defeats to Tromso 3-1, Lillestrom 3-1, Molde 2-1, Viking 2-1 and Fredrikstad 1-0 before finally beating Sarpsborg 2-1 in mid-August.

Last weekend, Sandefjord hosted the reigning champions Viking and were more than happy to take a 1-1 draw. They had 0.62-2.16 expected goals and 1-4 shots on target here.

Team News & Predicted Lineups

Bodo/Glimt (4-3-3) Nikita Haikin; Fredrik Sjovold, Villads Nielsen, Odin Bjortuft, Fredrik Andre Bjorkan; Joshua Kitolano, Patrick Berg, Sondre Brunstad Fet; Sondre Auklend, Andreas Helmersen, Ole Didrik Blomberg

The home side have to overcome a long list of selection dilemmas, as Jostein Gundersen, Jens Petter Hauge, Hakon Evjen, August Mikkelsen, Magnus Bech Riisnaes, and Haitam Aleesami remain ruled out due to injury.

Sandefjord (4-3-3) Elias Hadaya; Fredrik Carson Pedersen, Rasmus Holten, Martin Hellan, Vetle Walle Egeli; Sander Risan Mork, Jakob Jakobsen Swift, Evangelos Patoulidis; Jakob Dunsby, Bendik Berntsen, Foster Apetorgbor

The visitors are missing suspended duo Edvard Sundbo Pettersen and Xander Lambrix alongside Marcus Melchior and Nikolas Moller.

Verdict

Sandefjord have a good record when it comes to scoring at this stadium, but I don't think they can stop Bodo/Glimt from claiming ninth straight league victory on Monday.
