Chelsea and AC Milan are set to face off in a Club Friendly in Jakarta, but neither team is displaying consistent form during pre-season. Both sides have recorded mixed results lately, making them appear evenly matched. The recommended bet is a draw at odds of 3.95, with an additional tip for a 1-1 draw at odds of 8.5, reflecting the expectation of a closely contested game. Bettors are advised to consider a draw as the most likely outcome.

Chelsea vs AC Milan Preview

Chelsea have struggled for rhythm under Xabi Alonso in pre-season and AC Milan are lacking form. These sides are well-matched and a friendly draw has good value.

Consecutive AC Milan Draws

  • Chelsea are winless in their last 2 games.
  • AC Milan have drawn their last 2 matches.

H2H

Chelsea have a 3-1 advantage against AC Milan, alongside one draw.

Chelsea Taking Time to Adapt Under Alonso

Chelsea are out of form after winning just two of their last eight matches in all competitions. The Blues ended 2025/26 in poor form and were winless in four of their final five matches.

Xabi Alonso was named as Chelsea’s new manager in pre-season. The Spanish coach led his new side to a 6-4 debut win against Western Sydney Wanderers before a 2-1 loss to Tottenham.

The Londoners fell back-to-back defeats after a 1-0 friendly loss against Juventus. Alonso’s side had 0.61 XG and conceded with 25 minutes remaining.

AC Milan Look Unconvincing

Italian outfit AC Milan are also in poor long-term form and are winless in eight of their previous 10 fixtures. Ruben Amorim became the new AC Milan manager in pre-season and is yet to win.

The Rossoneri have drawn both of their pre-season friendlies, starting with a 2-2 draw against Celtic. Milan trailed 2-0 after 28 minutes before Francesco Camarda scored a second-half brace.

The Serie A side also drew 1-1 against rivals Inter Milan on Wednesday. Amorim’s side allowed 2.34 XG, conceded after 52 minutes and Christopher Nkunku levelled in the closing stages.

Predicted Starting Lineups & Team News

Chelsea (4-2-3-1): Robert Sanchez; Josh Acheampong, Levi Colwill, Tosin Adarabioyo, Marco Palestra; Moises Caicedo, Romeo Lavia; Estevao, Omari Kellyman, Jamie Gittens; Joao Pedro

Attacker Cole Palmer and defender Levi Colwill are injury doubts after missing the Juventus game.

Defenders Maxence Lacroix, Malo Gusto, Reece James, midfielder Enzo Fernandez and forward Morgan Rogers are unavailable.

AC Milan (3-4-2-1): Lorenzo Torriani; Filippo Terracciano, Matteo Gabbia, Fikayo Tomori; Alexis Saelemaekers, Youssouf Fofana, Ardon Jashari, Pervis Estupinan; Samuel Chukwueze, Christopher Nkunku; Goncalo Ramos

Forward Christian Pulisic and defender Mario Gila are sidelined with thigh injuries.

Mike Maignan is also ruled out. The goalkeeper has been given extra rest following the World Cup.

Verdict

Chelsea and AC Milan have had mixed recent results and neither side looks confident in pre-season. A Club Friendly draw is the best bet in Jakarta.
