Arsenal takes on Newcastle with the odds in their favor, capitalizing on a robust home advantage. Recent performances suggest the Gunners could secure a decisive victory, especially against a Newcastle side struggling defensively. Betting tips indicate an Arsenal win with over 2.5 goals is a promising wager, priced at 2.1 for 2 units. Additionally, expecting more than 3.5 goals in total could yield valuable returns at 2.63 for 1 unit. Overall, it's poised to be a high-scoring affair with Arsenal emerging victorious.

H2H - Gunners Dominate

Arsenal have an 87-72 advantage against Newcastle, alongside 39 draws.

Arsenal Win Games & Score Goals at Home

Arsenal are second in the Premier League and level with leaders Man City on 70 points. The Gunners have the same goal difference as City and trail based on goals scored this season.

Mikel Arteta's side have a strong home record this season, winning 12 of 16 league games, scoring 36 goals. Arsenal won three home matches in a row against Sunderland 3-0, Chelsea 2-1 and Everton 2-0 before a 2-1 loss to Bournemouth.

The Gunners couldn't hit back and lost 2-1 at Man City on Sunday. Kai Havertz equalised after City's early opener and Arsenal had 1.62 XG before conceding a second with 25 minutes left.

Newcastle Can't Keep the Goals Out

Eddie Howe's Newcastle are in their worst run of form in the 2025/26 campaign. The Tyneside outfit have lost four consecutive games in all competitions.

That losing streak started with a heavy 7-2 Champions League defeat at Barcelona. Newcastle then lost 2-1 against Sunderland and Crystal Palace, allowing over 2 XG in each defeat.

The Magpies saw another 2-1 Premier League defeat at home against Bournemouth last time out. Newcastle were outplayed with 1.59-2.98 XG and William Osula scored a second-half consolation goal.

Predicted Starting Lineups & Team News

Arsenal (4-3-3): David Raya; Cristhian Mosquera, William Saliba, Gabriel, Piero Hincapie; Martin Odegaard, Martin Zubimendi, Declan Rice; Noni Madueke, Kai Havertz, Eberechi Eze

Defensive pair Jurrien Timber and Riccardo Calafiori will face late fitness tests and could feature against Newcastle.

Midfielder Mikel Merino is unavailable with an ankle injury and forward Bukayo Saka is also injured.

Newcastle (4-3-3): Aaron Ramsdale; Kieran Trippier, Malick Thiaw, Sven Botman, Lewis Hall; Sandro Tonali, Lewis Miley, Jacob Ramsey; Anthony Elanga, William Osula, Harvey Barnes

Midfielder Joelinton is suspended. Defenders Fabian Schar and Emil Krafth are ruled out due to injury.

Forward Anthony Gordon and defender Tino Livramento are injury doubts for Arsenal. Eddie Howe was cautious over Gordon’s fitness following the Bournemouth game and said, “With Anthony, we’re unclear when he’ll be back.

“We don’t think it’s a long-term injury, but whether he makes next week, we don’t know. We’ll have to see how he goes this week in training.”

Verdict

Arsenal can use their home advantage to secure a commanding win over declining Newcastle. The Magpies are shipping loads of goals and a Gunners victory with over 2.5 goals has good value.
