Brentford and Nottingham Forest meet in the Premier League, with both teams to score recommended as the main tip. Both sides consistently score and concede in most matches, indicating an open contest. Over 2.5 goals and over 3.5 goals are also suggested for smaller stakes, reflecting the attacking and defensive tendencies of these out of form teams. The primary expectation is a high-scoring fixture, supported by recent performances from both clubs.

Brentford vs Nottingham Forest Preview

Brentford are BTTS regulars at home and Nottingham Forest struggle to keep the goals out. Another high-scoring Premier League encounter is likely in west London.

Key Stats - Goals Standout

  • Brentford have seen BTTS in 4 consecutive games.
  • Brentford have seen over 2.5 goals in their last 2 home games.
  • Nottingham Forest have seen BTTS in their last 6 EPL away matches.

H2H

Brentford and Nottingham Forest have won 16 matches each and drawn 11 in 43 meetings.

Brentford BTTS Specialists in the EPL

Brentford have seen BTTS six of their eight Premier League matches this season. They have scored 24 goals and conceded 13 in all competitions.

The Bees were on an eight-match unbeaten run to start the 2026/27 campaign. That streak ended with a 2-1 home loss to Liverpool, where Brentford faced 21 shots.

Keith Andrews’ team replied with a 1-1 comeback draw at Hull. The Bees had 1.74 XG and six shots on target.

The London side remain winless in four after a 3-2 EFL Cup defeat at Sunderland. Brentford were 3-0 down, responded with 2.75 XG and Callum Wilson and Igor Thiago got on the scoresheet.

Nottingham Forest Shaky at the Back

Nottingham Forest have been unconvincing early in the new season, winning one of their nine games in all competitions. The Tricky Trees have kept one clean sheet in that period and conceded 12.

Forest’s only win was a 2-1 away victory at Aston Villa in September. Three consecutive losses followed against Coventry 1-0, Crystal Palace 3-1 and Arsenal 1-0.

Oliver Glanser’s side dropped further points in a 1-1 draw at newly promoted Ipswich last time out. Forest dominated with 2.29 XG and 11 shots and Neco Williams’ early opener wasn’t enough to seal the win.

Predicted Starting Lineups & Team News

Brentford (4-2-3-1): Caoimhin Kelleher; Michael Kayode, Sepp van den Berg, Kristoffer Ajer, Keane Lewis-Potter; Mamadou Sangare, Vitaly Janelt; Dango Ouattara, Mikkel Damsgaard, Kevin Schade; Igor Thiago

Midfielder Yehor Yarmolyuk is suspended. Forward Kaye Furo is sidelined due to a foot issue.

Rico Henry has been ruled out with a leg injury. Keith Andrews confirmed that the defender would “be out for a period of weeks, probably until after the international break.”

Nottingham Forest (3-4-2-1): Matz Sels; Jair Cunha, Nikola Milenkovic, Murillo; Daniel Munoz, James McAtee, Xaver Schlager, Luca Netz; Morgan Gibbs-White, Dan Ndoye; Liam Delap

Striker Igor Jesus is unlikely to feature due to a calf issue. Defenders Neco Williams and Nicolo Savona are injury doubts.

Nicolas Dominguez is likely to return after missing the Ipswich match. Oliver Glasner provided a positive update on the midfielder and said, “he could be back next week.”

Verdict

Brentford and Nottingham Forest score and concede in most matches. An open Premier League contest is expected between these out-of-form sides.
