H2H - 3 Palace Wins in a Row

Burnley have a 21-16 advantage against Crystal Palace, alongside 19 draws.

Crystal Palace Looking to Turn a Corner

Crystal Palace had a tough December and January. The club lost former captain Marc Guehi and Oliver Glasner announced his departure at the end of the season.

Palace hit rocky form on the pitch with a 12 match winless run in all competitions. The Eagles have shown signs of a turnaround after a mini-unbeaten run, starting with a 1-1 draw at Nottingham Forest.

Glasner’s side ended their long winless run with a 1-0 win at rivals Brighton. Ismaila Sarr struck the winner with 30 minutes remaining and Palace edged the contest with 1.16-0.74 XG.

Burnley Falling Behind in Survival Race

Burnley have struggled to compete since their return to the Premier League this season. The Clarets have taken just 15 points from 25 matches and are 11 points behind 17th-placed Nottingham Forest.

The Clarets’ last victory came at Wolves 3-2 in October. Scott Parker’s outfit haven’t won in any of their 16 games since the Wolves victory, losing 11.

The winless run continued with a 2-0 home defeat to West Ham. Burnley conceded twice in the opening 26 minutes and couldn’t score with 18 shots and 1.33 XG.

Predicted Starting Lineups & Team News

Crystal Palace (3-4-2-1): Dean Henderson; Chris Richards, Maxence Lacroix, Jefferson Lerma; Daniel Munoz, Adam Wharton, Will Hughes, Tyrick Mitchell; Ismaila Sarr, Yeremy Pino; Jorgen-Strand Larsen

Midfielder Cheick Doucoure, striker Jean-Philippe Mateta and attacker Eddie Nketiah are sidelined with injuries.

Justin Devenny is expected to return for the Burnley clash. Oliver Glasner was positive over the midfielder’s condition and said, “Burnley on Wednesday, he should be fine.”

Burnley (4-2-3-1): Martin Dubravka; Josh Laurent, Maxime Esteve, Bashir Humphreys; Kyle Walker, Lesley Ugochukwu, Florentino, Lucas Pires; Hannibal Mejbri, Jaidon Anthony; Zian Flemming

Defenders Conor Roberts and Jordan Beyer won’t feature due to injury.

Midfielders Mike Tresor and Josh Cullen are injured and forward Zeki Amdouni is unavailable with a knee issue.

Verdict

Crystal Palace v Burnley

Crystal Palace will be eager to build winning momentum in the Premier League. The Eagles can progress after beating Brighton and a home win over Burnley is the best bet.
