H2H - Forest Edge Recent Encounters

Wolves have a 63-47 advantage against Nottingham Forest, alongside 30 draws.

Must Win for Nottingham Forest

Sean Dyche’s Nottingham Forest are locked in a Premier League relegation battle and sit three points above the drop zone. Forest can go six points clear this week, depending on West Ham’s result against Man United.

The Tricky Trees have stayed above the relegation zone after some steady recent form. Forest were unbeaten in four league games, including wins against West Ham 3-1 and Brentford 2-0.

Dyche’s outfit lost their first league game since early January following a 3-1 defeat at Leeds. The Midlands side trailed 3-0 after 49 minutes and Lorenzo Lucca scored a late consolation.

Wolves Hitting Poor EPL Form Again

Wolves remain rooted to the bottom of the Premier League table. The Midlands side had a mini-revival across December and January with two wins and two draws.

The Old Gold couldn’t maintain that momentum and have lost three consecutive games. The Midlands side are now 18 points from safety with 13 games remaining.

The losing streak continued on Saturday following a 3-1 home loss to Chelsea. Wolves allowed 3.44 XG, were 3-0 down at half time and Emmanuel Arokodare scored in the second period.

Predicted Starting Lineups & Team News

Nottingham Forest (4-2-3-1): Stefan Ortega; Ola Aina, Nikola Milenkovic, Zach Abbott, Neco Williams; Ibrahim Sangare, Elliot Anderson; Callum Hudson-Odoi, Morgan Gibbs-White, Nicolas Dominguez; Igor Jesus

Goalkeeper John Victor and striker Chris Wood are out with knee injuries. Defender Nicola Savona is also expected to miss out due to injury.

Murillo is likely to return after a calf issue. Sean Dyche was hopeful the centre-back would recover for the Wolves game and said, “We will probably know more tomorrow to make a final decision. It is probably a touch and go one at this stage, but it is settling and he was happy with that this morning.”

Wolves (3-5-2): Jose Sa; Yerson Mosquera, Santiago Bueno, Ladislav Krejci; Matt Doherty, Joao Gomes, Jean-Ricner Bellegarde, Mateus Mane, Hugo Bueno; Emmanuel Arokodare, Adam Armstrong

Defender Toti Gomes is unavailable due to a thigh issue.

Andre could return for the Forest trip on Wednesday. Rob Edwards provided an update on the midfielder’s recovery and said, “Andre is a slight calf [injury]. We gave him until today [Saturday], this morning, but unfortunately, that one was forced.”

Verdict

Nottingham Forest will be fired up for this important Premier League encounter against Wolves. The Tricky Trees can use their home advantage to beat struggling Wolves at the City Ground.
