H2H - Gunners Advantage

Arsenal have an 11-6 advantage against Brentford, alongside six draws.

Brentford Lurking Outside the Top 5

Brentford have been the surprise package this season and have kicked on following Thomas Frank’s departure. The West Londoners are seventh in the Premier League and four points off the top five.

The Bees have struggled to break into the European spots due to inconsistent recent form. Keith Andrews’ side lost two in a row before a 1-0 win at Aston Villa, where in-form Dango Ouattara scored the winner.

Another victory followed at mid-table Newcastle 3-2. Vitaly Janelt and Igor Thiago scored in the first half and Dango Ouattara struck an 85th-minute winner.

Arsenal on the EPL Title March

Arsenal have shown consistency to maintain their 2025/26 Premier League title challenge. The Gunners have a six-point lead at the top of the table, winning 17 of 25 games.

The North Londoners have impressed on the road, taking a league-high 25 points from away games. Arsenal most recently thrashed Leeds 4-0 on the road, where Martin Zubemendi and Viktor Gyokeres scored.

Mikel Arteta’s side maintained their lead at the top of the table with a comfortable 3-0 home victory over Sunderland. Martin Zubemendi and Viktor Gyokeres continued their strong form, finding the net as the Gunners dominated with 1.5-0.19 XG.

Predicted Starting Lineups & Team News

Brentford (4-2-3-1): Caoimhin Kelleher; Michael Kayode, Kristoffer Ajer, Sepp van den Berg, Rico Henry; Jordan Henderson, Vitaly Janelt; Dango Ouattara, Mathias Jensen, Keane Lewis-Potter; Igor Thiago

Winger Reiss Nelson is unable to face his parent club and midfielder Kevin Schade is suspended.

Attacker Fabio Carvalho, midfielder Josh Dasilva and defender Antoni Milambo are injured and unavailable.

Arsenal (4-3-3): David Raya; Jurrien Timber, William Saliba, Gabriel, Riccardo Calafiori; Kai Havertz, Martin Zubimendi, Declan Rice; Noni Madueke, Viktor Gyokeres, Gabriel Martinelli

Midfielders Mikel Merino and Max Dowman are sidelined due to injury. Winger Bukayo Saka is ruled out with a groin problem.

Martin Odegaard missed the Chelsea game through injury. Mikel Arteta was positive that the midfielder could return for Brentford and said,  “Martin again is getting better. It will be a matter of days, we believe."

Verdict

Brentford are inconsistent and Arsenal are an in-form side with plenty of quality. The Gunners are unlikely to let up in their title pursuit here and an away win has value.
