H2H - Liverpool Dominant

Liverpool have a 62-38 advantage against Burnley, alongside 29 draws.

Liverpool Hard to Beat

Liverpool’s form has improved recently after an 11-match unbeaten run in all competitions. The Reds have won six in that streak, including three home victories.

The Merseyside outfit notched four wins in a row before three consecutive Premier League draws. Liverpool were held to 0-0 stalemates against Leeds and Arsenal either side of a 2-2 draw at Fulham.

Arne Slot’s side continued their unbeaten run with a 4-1 FA Cup home win against Barnsley. The Reds dominated with 2.04 XG and Dominik Szoboszlai, Jeremie Frimpong, Florian Wirtz and Hugo Ekitike scored.

Burnley Struggling in the EPL

Scott Parker’s Burnley are 19th in the Premier League and have 13 points from 21 matches. The Clarets have the second-worst away record in the division, taking just four points on the road.

Burnley are winless in 12 consecutive league games, losing nine and conceding 24. The Lancashire side lost 3-1 against Newcastle and 2-0 at Brighton before a 2-2 draw with Man United.

Parker’s side won for the first time since October on Saturday and beat Millwall 5-1 in the FA Cup. Ashley Barnes scored twice and Loum Tchaouna, Jaidon Anthony and Jaydon Banel also found the net.

Predicted Starting Lineups & Team News

Liverpool (4-2-3-1): Alisson; Jeremie Frimpong, Ibrahima Konate, Virgil van Dijk, Milos Kerkez; Ryan Gravenberch, Dominik Szoboszlai; Cody Gakpo, Alexis Mac Allister, Florian Wirtz; Hugo Ekitike

Forward Mohamed Salah is on AFCON duty and unavailable. Defenders Conor Bradley and Giovanni Leoni and striker Alexander Isak are injured.

Wataru Endo is also sidelined with an ankle issue. Arne Slot provided a recent update on the midfielder and said, “He might start to train one of these days, but he has been out for two months now, that's of course different to being out for one week.”

Burnley (4-2-3-1): Martin Dubravka, Kyle Walker, Hjalmar Ekdall, Maxime Esteve, Quilindschy Hartman; Josh Laurent, Lesley Ugochukwu; Marcus Edwards, Hannibal Mejbri, Jaidon Anthony; Armando Broja

Midfielder Josh Cullen and forward Zeki Amdouni are out with long-term knee injuries. Defensive trio Conor Roberts, Joe Worrall and Jordan Beyer are also unavailable due to injury.

Zian Flemming is likely to return to the squad at Anfield. Scott Parker was positive about the attacker’s recovery from a recent knock and said, “He's progressing well - hopefully not too far away.”

Verdict

Liverpool are in good form and have enough quality to put goals past a leaky Burnley side. The Reds can keep winning and secure a high-scoring Premier League home victory.
