Sunderland vs Crystal Palace Betting Tips - Draw Has Value in the Premier League

Sunderland and Crystal Palace are both struggling to find victories in the Premier League, making a draw the most likely outcome in their upcoming matchup. Due to their poor forms, the odds suggest a 1-1 draw is a plausible outcome. Betting predictions include a 3.2 draw with 3 units and a 6.5 for a 1-1 draw with 1 unit. The match presents a cautiously optimistic view for punters hoping to capitalize on the low-expectation nature of the teams' current performances.

H2H - Evenly Matched Record

Crystal Palace have a 17-16 advantage against Sunderland, alongside 16 draws.

Sunderland Draw Often

Sunderland have dropped into the Premier League’s mid-table following a five-match winless run, including four draws.

The Black Cats’ four stalemates came consecutively between December and early January. Sunderland drew their last two at home against Leeds 1-1 and Man City 0-0, which came before a 3-0 loss at Brentford.

Regis Le Bris played out another 1-1 draw at Everton in the FA Cup. Enzo Le Fee scored first and Everton equalised in the 89th minute before Sunderland won on penalties.

Crystal Palace Are Unconvincing

Oliver Glasner’s Crystal Palace have struggled recently and failed to win in their last nine in all competitions.

Palace have drawn two of their previous three Premier League games against Fulham 1-1 and Aston Villa 0-0.

The Eagles fell to a shock 2-1 FA Cup defeat against Macclesfield away on Saturday. Palace conceded either side of half time and Yeremy Pino scored a 90th-minute consolation.
Sunderland (4-2-3-1): Robin Roefs; Trai Hume, Nordi Mukiele, Dan Ballard, Omar Alderete; Granit Xhaka, Noah Sadiki; Simon Adingra, Enzo Le Fee, Eliezer Mayenda; Brian Brobbey

Midfielder Habib Diarra and attacker Chemsdine Talbi are on international duty. Defenders Arthur Masuaku and Aji Alese are unavailable due to injury.

Bertrand Traore is set to miss out after returning from the AFCON with an injury. Regis Le Bris was unsure of the forward’s availability and said, “Bertrand has come back with an injury that we will have to assess. It is an injury issue he has come back [from AFCoN] with, but we don’t really know any more than that yet.”

Crystal Palace (3-4-2-1): Dean Henderson; Chris Richards, Maxence Lacroix, Jefferson Lerma; Justin Devenny, Adam Wharton, Will Hughes, Tyrick Mitchell; Brennan Johnson, Yeremy Pino; Jean-Philippe Mateta

Winger Ismaila Sarr is on AFCON duty and unavailable. Striker Eddie Nketiah, defenders Daniel Munoz and Nathanial Clyne and midfielders Daichi Kamada and Cheick Doucoure are injured.

Marc Guehi won't feature following his reported move to Man City. Oliver Glasner confirmed the defender's absence for the Sunderland game and said, "My understanding is the deal with Marc is in the final stages."

Verdict

Sunderland and Crystal Palace rarely win in the Premier League. A draw is likely between these out-of-form sides.
