H2H - Gunners Have the Advantage

Arsenal have a 56-29 advantage against Nottingham Forest, alongside 23 draws.

Nottingham Forest Lose a Lot

Nottingham Forest are 17th in the Premier League and have lost five of their previous seven fixtures.

The Tricky Trees lost four games in a row, including home defeats to Man City 2-1 and Everton 2-0. Forest ended that losing streak with a 2-1 away triumph at West Ham.

Sean Dyche’s side were knocked out of the FA Cup on penalties at Wrexham following a 3-3 draw. Igor Jesus scored in the second half and Callum Hudson-Odoi added a late brace before Forest lost 4-3 on penalties.

Arsenal Win Most Matches

Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal are top of the Premier League table and have a six-point lead over Man City. The Gunners are unbeaten in 10 consecutive games in all competitions and have won eight.

Arsenal notched three successive league wins and scored nine goals between December and January. Arteta’s side then drew 0-0 at home against Liverpool and beat Portsmouth 4-1 away in the FA Cup.

The North Londoners extended their unbeaten run with a 3-2 EFL Cup victory at Chelsea. Arsenal dominated with 2.67 XG and Ben White, Viktor Gyokeres and Martin Zubemendi scored.

Predicted Starting Lineups & Team News

Nottingham Forest (4-2-3-1): Matz Sels; Ola Aina, Nikola Milenkovic, Murillo, Neco Williams; Elliot Anderson, Ibrahim Sangare; Nicolas Dominguez, Morgan Gibbs-White, Callum Hudson-Odoi; Igor Jesus

Defender Wily Boly and midfielder Ibrahim Sangare are available after returning from AFCON. Goalkeeper John Victor and striker Chris Wood are unavailable with knee injuries.

Ryan Yates could return for the Arsenal game after a thigh issue. Sean Dyche was positive about the midfielder’s recovery and said, “Yates has been back on the grass with us and shown no signs of anything other than being recovered. We'll see how it plays out, and if he feels good.”

Arsenal (4-3-3): David Raya; Jurrien Timber, William Saliba, Gabriel, Miles Lewis-Skelly; Martin Odegaard, Martin Zubimendi, Declan Rice; Bukayo Saka, Viktor Gyokeres, Leandro Trossard

Defenders Riccardo Calafiori and Piero Hincapie are unavailable due to injury.

Midfielder Max Dowman and centre-back Cristhian Mosquera are also injured and unlikely to feature. Mikel Arteta provided an update on the duo and said, “Evolving really well, but they're not training yet, so they're still a few weeks away.”

Verdict

Nottingham Forest are out of form and look unconvincing in defence. Arsenal are a top-quality side and can seal a high-scoring Premier League win at the City Ground.
