H2H - Red Devils Dominate

Man United have a 54-36 advantage against Nottingham Forest, alongside 25 draws.

Man United Are Very Strong at Home

Man United have one of the best recent home records in the 2025/26 Premier League. They have gained a league-high of 25 points from their last 30 available at Old Trafford.

Since Michael Carrick’s arrival in January, United have won seven of their eight home fixtures. The Red Devils have beaten Man City 2-0, Aston Villa 3-1 and Liverpool 3-2 during that run.

United followed the Liverpool home victory with a 0-0 draw at Sunderland. Carrick’s side had 11 shots, one on target, and neither side could net the winning goal.

Nottingham Forest’s Momentum Has Slowed

Vitor Pereira’s Nottingham Forest have avoided relegation from the Premier League. The Tricky Trees are seven points clear of the bottom three with just two games remaining.

Forest were on a strong run of form after three consecutive league wins over mid-table opponents. The Reds comfortably beat relegated Burnley 4-1, Sunderland 5-0 and Chelsea 3-1.

That run ended with a heavy 4-0 away loss at Aston Villa, where Forest had 0.79-2.74 XG.

Pereira’s side also failed to win in a 1-1 home draw against Newcastle on Sunday. The Reds allowed 1.48 XG, conceded first and Elliot Anderson scored an 88th-minute equaliser.

Midfielder Manuel Ugarte and Benjamin Sesko could be available following recent injuries. Defender Matthijs de Ligt remains sidelined with a lower-back issue.

Casemiro is expected to return after missing the Sunderland match. Michael Carrick confirmed the midfielder’s availability and said, “Cassie was not ready today, but he'll be fine for next week.”

Nottingham Forest (4-4-2): Matz Sels; Jair Cunha, Nikola Milenkovic, Morato, Neco Williams; Dilane Bakwa, Nicolas Dominguez, Elliot Anderson, Omari Hutchinson; Chris Wood, Igor Jesus

Winger Callum Hudson-Odoi and goalkeeper John Victor are unavailable with long-term injuries. Defenders Nicolo Savona, Willy Boly, Murillo and Ola Aina are also unavailable due to injury.

Midfielders Ibrahim Sangare and Dan Ndoye and defender Zach Abbott could miss out and will face late fitness tests ahead of the United game.

Morgan Gibbs-White is in contention to return on Sunday after missing the last two games with a head injury.

Vitor Pereira explained the attacker’s absence against Newcastle and said, “This was a medical decision from the specialist. He was not in condition to play.”

Verdict

Man United have shown their strength at home since Michael Carrick’s arrival. United have enough quality to beat Forest in the Premier League.
