Newcastle United's home matches in the Premier League have featured plenty of goals, while West Ham's defense has struggled, making them prone to conceding. The recommendation is to bet on Both Teams To Score (BTTS) and Over 2.5 Goals at St James’ Park, offering solid value at 1.73 odds (2 units). For higher returns, Over 3.5 Goals at 2.25 (1 unit) is also advised. Expect an open and action-packed contest between Newcastle and West Ham.

H2H - Plenty of Recent Goals

Newcastle have a 61-45 advantage against West Ham, alongside 41 draws.

Newcastle BTTS Regulars at St James’ Park

Eddie Howe’s Newcastle have seen BTTS in more Premier League home games than any other side this season. The Toon have seen BTTS in 14 of their last 18 league matches at St James' Park.

Newcastle were on a five-match losing streak in all competitions, with 14 goals conceded. The Magpies also lost 2-1 in two home games during that run against Sunderland and Bournemouth.

Howe's side ended their losing spell with a 3-1 victory over Brighton at St James' Park. Newcastle dominated with 3.15 XG.

The North East outfit then held Nottingham Forest to a 1-1 away draw. Newcastle had 1.48 XG, 16 shots and Harvey Barnes' opener was cancelled out by a late Forest equaliser.

West Ham Leaky in Recent Matches

Nuno Espirito Santo’s West Ham have slipped back into the Premier League's bottom three after some patchy form. The Hammers are 18th and trail 17th-placed Tottenham by two points.

West Ham climbed out of the relegation zone after a three-match unbeaten run. They thrashed Wolves 4-0 and beat Everton 2-1 in that mini upturn in form.

The London team struggled to maintain momentum and lost 3-0 away to Brentford, facing six shots on target and conceding 2.27 XG.

Espirito Santo’s side lost back-to-back league games for the first time since January after a 1-0 defeat to Arsenal. The Hammers had 1.16-1.18 XG and conceded in the 83rd minute.

Predicted Starting Lineups & Team News

Newcastle (4-2-3-1): Nick Pope; Lewis Hall, Malick Thiaw, Sven Botman, Dan Burn; Sandro Tonali, Bruno Guimaraes; Harvey Barnes, Nick Woltemade, Anthony Gordon; William Osula

Midfielder Lewis Miley is recovering from surgery and is unavailable. Defensive trio Emil Krafth, Fabian Schar and Tino Livramento are ruled out due to injury.

Joelinton is also an injury doubt for the West Ham clash. Eddie Howe was cautious over the midfielder’s condition pre-match and said, “We have a doubt over Joelinton, who has a slight thigh problem.”

West Ham (4-4-1-1): Mads Hermansen; Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Konstantinos Mavropanos, Axel Disasi, El Hadji Malick Diouf; Crysencio Summerville, Tomas Soucek, Mateus Fernandes, Jarrod Bowen; Pablo; Taty Castellanos

Goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski has a lower back problem and won’t feature.

Adama Traore has also been ruled out following a recent injury. Nuno Espirito Santo confirmed the winger’s absence and said, “It is muscular - he was not available for the match against Arsenal - he is recovering, but he's going to be short for this one.”

Verdict

Newcastle have seen loads goals at home in the Premier League this season and West Ham concede a lot. BTTS and over 2.5 goals is the best bet at St James’ Park.
